Problem #1: When someone frequently uses both metered and non-metered connections (for example: when at home there are no bandwidth limitations, but when on the go someone uses hotspot sharing with their iPad or iPhone or other device, which has limitations on bandwidth). This causes either (a) their bandwidth being used up by Logos updates and resource downloads or (b) the person has to frequently change the setting in Logos to automatically download updates or not.
Problem #2: Laptop users are frequently on battery only, so when Logos downloads updates and then starts indexing it uses a significant amount of battery life (which is also potentially draining the quality of the battery as well).
Suggested Solution #1: Add an option for metered connections. Preferably the ability to detect which networks are in use so that they can be configured individually. So if the user is at home without a metered connection, Logos will automatically download updates, but if the user is on say their iPad or iPhone hotspot connection, Logos will automatically defer updates until later, or ask the user if they would like to install them.
Suggested Solution #2: Add an option to automatically defer indexing when running on battery.
