Searching For Verses About the Messiah
In Logos, what text would I use in the Search Box to search for verses in the Old Testament relating to Christ or the Messiah? The verses I am looking for would not have the word Christ or Messiah in them. I am looking for verses like, Isaiah 9:6f, Micah 4:1f, Zachariah 9:9f, etc.

The only tagging suitable is {Section <PreachingTheme = Prophecy: Jesus>} in a Bible search, although you'll probably find it returns too many results. You'd probably find it easier to search your resources for a table of Messianic Prophecies.

Thanks, Mark.
That's what I did - using NEW TESTAMENT USE OF THE OLD TESTAMENT and PROPHECY JESUS.

Let me know if I'm inappropriately hijacking this post, but this topic is something that has interested me. I have wondered if there are any books that break down all the OT prophecies of the Messiah, and arguments for Jesus as the fulfillment. I would be shocked if there aren't. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm sure there are books. My "go to" chart is the one in the NKJV Study Bible:
You can't buy it through Logos, but a CD comes with the print version. It's very similar to the Nelson Study Bible, but I can't be sure the chart is in that.

Not the same chart, but maybe some, like:

and there's a list:
Have joy in the Lord!

I'd expand KS4J search term to the following:
(fulfilled, birth, death) NEAR prophecies NEAR (Jesus,Yeshua,Messiah,Christ) for 211 hits in 60 articles in 49 resources.
If you don't have it one of the useful resources to have in your library for these sort of lists is Willmington's Book of Bible Lists
https://www.logos.com/product/416/willmingtons-book-of-bible-lists
and while you can't buy the New King James Version Study Bible directly from Logos (Mark's recommendation) the same chart is available in the King James Version Study Bible which you can get directly from Logos

The best resource I can find at the moment is Messianic Expectations in 1st Century Judaism. I'll let Denise critique this list and suggest others.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

MJ. Smith,
This is more of the kind of thing I'm looking for. The charts are nice, but I would like to dive deeper into arguments for Jesus as the predicted Messiah that would be opposed to the views of current Jewish teachers.

Also, the Factbook page on Prophecies Respecting Christ links to a number of dictionaries (depending on the size of your library) that list and discuss the various passages.

I am currently studying these prophecies along with our church. Below is a layout I use in the event someone may find it useful.
Top left side has the various charts I am working from. Top right has NA28, with send links here selected and in multi view the ESV, CJB and the Commentary on the NT use of the OT.
Bottom left side has Hebrew with send links here selected, and in multi view LXX and Greek Lexicons. Bottom right has the LHB, ESV, LES and Logos LXX
I find it helpful to see the LXX as well as the MT when working with the charts.
The resource Evidence for Christianity has both a listing of prophecy and fulfillment along with a review of how various Judaic sources have interpreted the Messianic value of the OT text. I recommend including that resource if you have it. It is not linked very well, but adds value. I have a screen shot of this below as well.

Hello. New user here. I realize this post is dated from last year, but I am belatedly also researching this topic. I have found an interesting resource to be Alfred Edersheim's, "The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah." There is an appendix in the back that lists numerous verses in the OT that the Jews believed to be Messianic -- so interesting to compare those to verses with which we are all familiar. There are also references to this book at an outdated website, http://www.oocities.org/hebrew_roots/html/hr-3-4-05.html. Did you find other resources that you would be willing to share? Regards and blessings.

FYI, Edersheim's book is available in Logos format: https://www.logos.com/product/1997/the-life-and-times-of-jesus-the-messiah.
