In the Morphology Charts for παρατίθημι, παράθου from 2 Tim 2.2 is listed as an indicative rather than as an imperative (as NA27 parses it: V2SAMM).  I'm running: 6.14.0.0079

Am I missing something?  Why this error?  Are there other errors?

A search for (indicative OR imperative) WITHIN {Milestone <2 Tim 2.2>} should give you full discussion of both parsings. You'll want match all forms turned off.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks.  Yes, I did miss the dual parsing options.  So, "error" is the wrong word; how about "unhelpful."

If Morph Chart is only going to show one option and not indicate the possibility of others, it is at least a little unhelpful when it picks the parsing of the 2 options that no major English translation uses.  (The Indicative parsing is possible but it seems fairly clear that it is not a good translation in this context.)

It seems to me that it would be an overall improvement if Morph Chart indicated when there was more than one parsing.

Also, it would seem to be an improvement that if it is only going to show one option and not indicate the possibility of others, that when it seems to be a clear cut case, that it picks the contextually right one.

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to as the "morph chart" which is why I offered the answer I did. I dislike interlinears providing parsing for precisely this reason and have asked for the ability to add annotations when I disagree or need to be aware of alternatives. When it appears that an error has been made as in this case, there is a specific address to which errors should be sent revint@logos.com ... you can always find it under ?-->report problem.

Thank you.  "Morphology Charts" is a tool, under the "Interactive Media" section that shows all the grammatical forms that occur for a word in NT.

I think there is some sort of bug here as I understood the Morph Chart information was built from your highest prioritised Greek New Testament.

So with NA27 as my highest prioritised I would have expected to get the parsing you are hoping for but I don;t

Hopefully someone from Faithlife will be able to comment further.

Using Logos 7.4 Beta 4 replicated bugginess as dual parsing from highest prioritized Greek NT is not shown in Morphology Charts

Morphology Chart has indicative while the first parsing in "The Greek New Testament: SBL Edition" has imperative.

+1 [Y] so created thread => Bug ? Logos 7.4 Beta 4 Morphology Chart lacks dual parsing

    Keep Smiling [:)]
