Thanks!
I love it! I bought it at that price and then got some of the books updated after they were put together on a separate Carson Collection. Nice set at a great price!

It was initially posted on the weekend so we need I think it is fair to wait until the work day begins today.

Bueller?
Is this the norm with Logos now, as this is not the first time I encounter this? I have all the DA Carson books in this series, but there is no dynamic pricing. Is it then true that dynamic pricing is disabled not only for Zondervan's and Nelson's products?
This is my online chat with the sales rep:
When we begin an online chat, we would be required to key in our email address. But apparently without checking the resources I already have, the sales rep commented, “it does not look like you have any of the resources in that series.”
But I have all the D A Carson books in this series!
Isn’t it easier to just say what he said later, “I checked into that collection again and based on our agreements with the authors and publishers, we are not allowed to offer dynamic prices.”
I can’t help feeling that there is a little hesitancy in disclosing that there really is not dynamic pricing on some items in Logos. Let’s not tell customers that, “it does not look like you have any of the resources in that series.”

You assume that the person behind the chat had that info at their fingers... I would not assume that.

Not quite. He should have just said that he cannot access my resources from his end, and that he doesn't know. But he ASSUMED that I didn't have any of those resources in the product. He could have at least checked first.
Bruce I was well aware this was posted on the weekend. I made no complaint against FL in what I said so I have no idea why you think it necessary to suggest I was being unfair. You are the one that is being unfair.
I was simply trying to bring the post back up the list so there was a better chance someone at Faithlife would see it. I will never understand why MVP's on this forums are the most judgemental Christians I have come across in my life. In future, Bruce please do not so quick to to make accusations. I am really disappointed you have reacted in this manner, I thought you were more level headed than your response here suggests.
I understand where you are coming from Vincent, but having worked in a call centre I do sympathise with the FL employee in this situation and would be them the benefit of doubt.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was not trying to suggest that you were being unfair but rather just encouraging us all to be patient.

I don't disagree. I was ONLY speaking to the issue: "Was there a hesitancy to answer the question about dynamic pricing." It sounded like you were questioning their honesty. I don't think the average employee is going to know off the top, and will have to follow up with someone in their up line to get clarification.
Still no official position??
That's FL in a nutshell...don't hold your breath 😶
Vincent,
Having used to work in FL sales, I know what may have occurred. When two different sets from two different publishers have the same titles, dynamic pricing is not always going to be a guarantee. In Zach's defense, the tool they use only looks at the one set to determine DP.What I would recommend is getting in contact with Ben in marketing. He would be the one to be able to look more into this and see what may be the cause and if there is a fix.The poor sales guys and gals can only do so much.

Hi all,
As the customer service rep said, we are not able to offer dynamic pricing on this collection. It's a unique product with a unique licensing agreement.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
