Lack of dynamic pricing on collections

There are many collections and bundles in Logos that I would be interested in buying, if they were dynamically priced. Once in awhile I can get a sales rep to get a special deal for me, but it would be so much easier if all the collections, etc., were automatically dynamically priced. Why doesn't Logos do this? I'm sure they would sell a lot more resources if they did this. It seems like their "motto" is you never pay for the same resource twice. If a collection isn't dynamically priced, you are paying for the same resource twice.

I believe that Logos' commitment is to have everything dynamically priced. Which collections and bundles are you finding that aren't?

From what I've picked up on these forums, there are some situations where dynamic pricing is not available (for example when a publisher won't allow it). Other times it seems as if dynamic pricing isn't working, but the difference is in different editions, or publications of the same material.

At any rate, it would be more helpful, if you could point to specifics here. If something's broken, I'm sure Logos wants to know.

In the meantime, it would be helpful if you also included those volumes you own that are included in those collections. If possible also include the resource information found at the bottom of the resource information panel (click the small "i" in the circle on the upper right of the main resource pane, then scroll to the bottom and copy/paste everything under "Support Info."

The MacArthur Commentary series and the Word Biblical Commentary series are not dynamically priced.

For the MacArthur series, it explicitly states on the site that dynamic pricing is not available for this product (or something like that). This is usually because of an agreement Logos has with the original publishing company.

I can't verify the Word series, since I apparently own all of them already. I don't see a notice similar to the MacArthur series on that page though. So, if dynamic pricing isn't working, it may be a problem that Logos needs to address. On the other hand, there are volumes in that series that have been superseded by later volumes, so it could be that you're seeing some of that too (obviously, that's just a guess).

Thanks for pointing these out. I've enabled dynamic pricing for all of these collections. It looks like the John Eadie collection already had dynamic pricing enabled. If it still doesn't show up correctly for you, please let me know.

Embarrassed is what they should be. Customers should not have to play these games; the merchandise should be as absolutely free of error as possible. The highest levels of FL need the will to make this happen, + they don't have said will.

You're right, it is embarrassing and we're working on a fix.

The issue is not necessarily with new products we're posting but with older products that, for a number of reasons, didn't have it enabled (some of it going back to before we had dynamic pricing no doubt).

I'm actively working on a project to go back and get dynamic pricing enabled on everything that needs it. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as I'd like it to be.

I realize that this is less than ideal and I apologize.

That said, I want to reiterate how much I appreciate you all pointing some of these out. Until we get a good fix in place, I'm going to try to respond to things posted here as quickly as possible.
