How to find the most common Words in 1 John?

I would like to find a list of the most common words in a passage (in this case 1 John).

I figure Logos 7 must be able to do this, but I can't find it.

"Interesting Words" on the passage guide shows "commanded" as far and away the largest word on the graphic, however, it, or some variation, is only present 14 times. "love" on the other hand is very small and is present 46 times. "God" is also small and shows up 66 times.

"Topics" also does not show the most common words.

Any help on how to find a list of the most common words in a passage would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Rob

Do you have the concordance tool?  This will do what you want.

    Rob,

There are a few ways to do this; the easiest is with Logos 7's Concordance Tool

FWIW, those sections in Passage Guide are each doing different things:

    • Interesting Words runs a mathematical comparison of this passage with the rest of the New Testament (or OT, as appropriate) to identify which words in this passage are the most unique.
    • Topics pulls from topical indexes in your Library, such as Nave's.

Tools => Concordance shows most common words in a Bible passage (ordered by Count):

Conversely, Reader's Edition (Inline Interlinear) can hide lemmas for common words:

Thank you for all your help. Unfortunately, I do not have the Concordance tool, which looks very helpful, but I couldn't justify continuing to maintain my Silver package, so for Logos 7 just have the basic feature upgrade.

I am glad to know the feature exists, so I can stop looking for that exact function.

You mentioned that there are "several ways to do this". What are some good ways without the Concordance tool? (Your screen shots above are very helpful for this time :o), but I would like to learn some ways for the future if it is possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

    Blessings,

    Rob

Morph Search has Analysis that can be grouped by Result (Translation) and Lemma (Greek)

    @B OR @C OR @I OR @J OR @N OR @P OR @T OR @V OR @X
