Chris, absolutely excellent.
Even includes interlinears and some basic lexicons. New Treasury. Nice.

Question: Is the Personal Book feature part of the Logos Basic Free "Package"?

Milkmam, true!
That's the remains of a church built maybe 400 years ago, at the end of a dusty road 2,000 miles long. The single missionary in the middle of nowhere was expected to be well versed in construction. And so, last week, a truly bored park ranger sat discussing with me the various construction talents of 3 example missionaries, complete with the challenges of foundational geology, load-bearing walls, and the rear angle of the worship hall (a hair more than 90 degrees). Quite amazing.

Yes, this is great. I'm going to write a post on my blog; I think Logos can definitely attract some more users with this.

I agree, and it even includes a KJV, which is our default translation. I may be able to get some of our members interested.

Question: Is the Personal Book feature part of the Logos Basic Free "Package"?
Yes, Tools menu has seven items in light grey that are not usable. Basic package(s) enable functionality for many items in 30 Day Training => https://www.logos.com/30-day-training (with four Documents not being usable: Morph Query, Sentence Diagram, Sermon, Syntax Search)
Thankful for two Basic packages => Basic and => Verbum Basic that enables a number of features, which could be followed by purchase(s) and/or rental(s). Access-only resources with temporary license has no effect on dynamic pricing for future purchase(s).
Keep Smiling [:)]

Before I go plugging this everywhere, I do not wish to mislead. Does this sentence mean that a feature or resource may randomly disappear in a month, or without warning?

I'm sure FL will chime in, but it is my understanding "yes, but no." I was led to believe that this is an introduction to the platform. It wouldn't make sense to randomly delete things. The primary thing to note is that you don't actually own any licenses for these resources, and consequently, you won't receive dynamic pricing for them in the future.
One thing which wasn't clear: Will these resources be made available to the user on mobile?

As usual, either a sloppy presentation or misleading. According to the above, if we switch from Logos 6 to Logos 7, we lose the Atlas, Bible Sense. Timeline, Passage Analysis, and Pronunciation. I certainly won't be taking that step until such time as that's cleared up for us.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

No, you don't lose them if you had them in L6.
The diagram KS4J showed above indicates what your get if you didn't have any package at all previously

No, that's a misunderstanding of how licensing works. Since you already own those features, you will still own those features when you upgrade to the free Logos 7 engine.
Logos 7 Basic doesn't remove any features you already have. It adds features where people who did not have Logos had none.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

This is great!
I've posted a link to it to my Facebook feed, and on a private Facebook group for pastors (only) in my denomination (the Christian Reformed Church).Help links: WIKI; Logos 6 FAQ. (Phil. 2:14, NIV)

Logos 7 Basic is a very nice way to allow people who are using the many free engines that provide limited (usually public domain works) library packages to experience a system that will match their current use, put also provide features and a potential library that they have not experienced. I have been using Logos since version 3 when it was available on CD with a library of resources that matched a particular interest and didn't have a particularly high purchase price. The first package I bought demonstrated the usefulness of the Logos system and I purchased other packages that addressed my particular interests. Logos 7 Basic will provide the same opportunity to those who missed the Logos 3 era.

A Pocket Lexicon to the Greek New Testament is listing as new to me despite I having logos now and a logos 7 base package. Why is that?
0 -
The Pocket Lexicon to the Greek New Testament is not bundled with Logos Now, or a Logos 7 library.
It is really new to you, since you don't already own it.
It would have been less confusing if Basic was a subset of a higher tier, showing you owned everything, but FL chose an inexpensive lexicon that doesn't happen to come with any other L7 library.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

PetahChristian answered well, but for clarification: If the use of an item is acquired via a LN membership, it should still show as unowned on the product page because you don't own it.

Thanks for those replies. So if I wanted this resource, I could now 'purchase' the base package for nothing and have access to it. Is that correct?
I really think the idea of a base package is great. It is about time.

Yes, you can get this for free too. [;)]
In all seriousness, there used to be a referral program, but I think it is now defunct. If I am wrong hopefully someone will chime in. It would be unrelated to this offer, however. FL isn't going to give you anything for leading others to "purchase" a free base package.0 -

But if they had a referral program that kept track of who eventually upgraded to a base package and rewarded folks then that might work. People spend thousands of dollars on Logos resources and upgrades once they're hooked, so I figure even if they have a temporary promotional referral program that could be worth it for Faithlife.

If you already own a feature set, you have to sign out of the site (or visit the page in incognito browsing mode) to be able to see the features.

this is a great thing!
may I make a suggestion? Would it not be good to include SBL Greek, since it is free anyway and it will give the prospective new user the ability to play around with original language stuff?

If you already own a feature set, you have to sign out of the site (or visit the page in incognito browsing mode)
Then it is configured differently to Logos 7 basic which is complete when signed in, as with other Logos 7 Feature and Library sites.
The Verbum site also tells us how to "Do More With Logos 6"!

You're right, Dave. My mistake!
I wonder why Verbum Basic uses the older product page, as all the other Verbum tiers list their features. Sounds like FL needs to fix that page.
