Best way to consolidate notes, clippings, etc into one place

I want to do a Bible Study and take information from my study in Logos 6 and capture multiple notes/clippings/media pictures into one place to create one document of my studies.

Is there any way to do this in Logos? If not, what programs are you using? Are there programs that you can send data to without cutting and pasting from one program to another?

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but my first though is to create a personal book. Are you familiar with the Personal Book Builder tool (PBB)?

I like the Personal Book Builder and I intend to use it, but it wasn't what I was thinking of. I think my answer is that I'm going to have to use an outside source to create my notes.

The real problem I'm facing with this is that I want to share Logos with my wife and our clips and notes are all in the same area, so we're going to have to create a naming convention between the two of us to keep them straight.

It was worth a shot to see what other people were using.

I think my answer is that I'm going to have to use an outside source to create my notes.

I use an outside app—a word processor— to store my notes and research for sermons. In fact, I store it all in one document. I use a different font style for research clippings that I copy into the document so that they are easy to distinguish from my writing.

When I am done with research, I enter into the writing phrase and delete (or move to the end of document) the research as I come to it.

It’s a little messy, but I like being able to stay in the word processor when I am writing. It also means I can use my iPad in the coffee shop for writing, since all my research is already in one document.

Fernando, if I understand you correctly, I am not sure I would even take your planned approach. I divide my note, highlight, and clipping files up according to the book of the Bible they cover. I do the same with subject studies. While this approach has the disadvantage of spreading everything over a number of documents, I eliminate the difficulty of relocating just the information I want if everything is buried in a single large file. Most of my notes are in the appropriate note file. I seldom use a clippings file, but I'm sure some use them more than I. Still, when I do, I find it helpful to limit the file to a single Bible book or topic.

No. You can create links back to Logos from within an outside program but there is no way to select an outside location to send information to.

While I use MS Word to create Bible studies and sermons, I find it very helpful to have my notes visible within Logos simply by hovering over the note icon in my preferred Bible. You'd lose that by taking all your notes outside the program.

Occasionally I export a note file (or clippings file or Passage list) to MS Word. Unfortunately we don't have any control over what the output looks like and it is cumbersome to re-format what Logos outputs, but I do use this option on occasion.
