ATTENTION FAITHLIFE BUG: Pasting in the Sermon Editor not working

I can't paste text into a sermon unless it is on a new line, and even then it doesn’t paste all the time. I'm not sure the right combination.

Before when it did work, when I would try to paste something at the end of a line I was typing on, it also did a strange thing where it would start a new line, and I had to backspace to get it back up on the line I wanted. But now, since it will only paste on a new line, I can't even do that because it is in one of those quote boxes.

I just want it to paste where I put it.

I actually can't even cut and paste within the sermon either.

Cut does nothing. Paste does nothing.

Strange - its working fine for me in the Sermon Editor, but I am running on Windows.

Hopefully another Mac user will be able to comment.

Are you using keyboard shortcuts to cut / paste or the right-click menu option?

    Try using the other?

Do cut / paste work correctly in other apps such as a Word Processor?

Yes it works in other apps and I have tried it with both the mouse and keyboard,

I can copy from resources and paste in other apps, but not in the sermon editor (except on a new line sometimes)

But I can't copy or paste from the sermon editor to the sermon editor (to move something), nor from the sermon editor to another app. It never copies.

I have the same problem copying from a Word document. I can copy and paste from a Logos resource, but it inserts the text in a quote box format. Additionally, I discovered that using the CBV tool, I can no longer use the Copy command in CBV and then paste into a sermon document.

I added BUG to the title of this thread

I can reproduce that problem on Windows.

It's always put it in a box - are you seeing a change in behaviour?

No. I was simply pointing out that text from a Logos resource can still be copied into a sermon document, but that it is limited to the quote box format, therefore is not always the most desirable way to do it.

BUMP. I did not see this problem addressed in the release notes.

    BUMP.

This problem remains in Beta 2. Can someone from FL acknowledge the bug? Has a case been created?

    Fred,

I've reproduced this problem and will open up a case.

The bug still exists in Beta 3. Hopefully it can be fixed in the next release

We'll update this thread when it's fixed as well as put it in the release notes.

    Philip,

Copy/Paste from outside sources should now work correctly in 7.5 Beta 4 (7.5.0.0021)
