Bible app crashes when scrolling through large notes document
I'm trying to help a friend whose Bible app repeatedly crashes when accessing a large note.
He scrolls through it and clicks Bible references to update the position in his Bible open in a split screen
He is running version 5.12.3
The note is a single note within a document - it is equivalent to about 25 sheets of A4 and 18,000 words.
Using a smaller note doesn't seem to exhibit the same problem
He is looking at breaking the note up into smaller sections but I wanted to check if there were currently any known issues with the app crashing when accessing a note of this size.
Thanks, Graham

Hey Graham, thanks for the report. I'll go ahead and do a bit of digging and respond shortly.

It doesn't look like we have anything open on this. Would you be able to have your friend send us logs and their email address? They can do so just through the "Report a Problem" function in the app. We can review the account there and try to recreate the issue in house. Please have them include a reference to this forum post with their report as well.

Hi Brandyn - thanks for this
I'm checking with my friend about this.
However, I tried to reproduce it and created a Notes Document called "Large Note Test" in my account.
Scrolling up and down in it seemed to work fine though sometimes seemed to hang. But then closing Logos and starting it again caused Logos to crash (this happened on a couple of devices - an iPhone and an iPad, with the iPad running the latest beta).
I have sent logs through from the iPhone - running the latest stable release - hopefully this will help track down what is going on.

Graham,
I was able to recreate the behavior mentioned, and some other oddities as well with a large note file. I'll get a case created regarding this. In the mean time as you originally explained in your first post, cutting up the document into smaller chunks may be best.

Hi Brandyn
Thanks for getting back to me and good you were able to reproduce it.
And my friend has split his original note into a number of smaller ones and it seems to be working fine.
Thanks again, Graham
