Logos cold calls?

Just got a phone call from an unknown phone number[1] and unknown sales rep[2].
They mentioned that they were calling from Logos, that I had the ICC[3] on my wish list, and that it was on sale this month. Having known about the sale, I simply let them know that I wasn't interested in purchasing it at this time[4].
Are these calls something new? I've gotten emails from my usual sales rep letting me know when something was on sale, but never gotten a (Logos) sales call out of the blue.
---
[1] Location showed up as Castle Rock, WA, and was from a different telephone exchange than the FL sales direct numbers.
[2] It was not my usual sales rep, and their name/number was not in my contacts. Not sure why a different rep would be calling me -- turnover? -- but I don't want to single them out.
[3] If I wanted to buy the ICC, it wouldn't be practical for me to buy it separately. Due to base package dynamic pricing, I could get the ICC in a denominational package (along with ~330 additional resources) for less than the ICC sale price. I didn't bring that up in the phone call, but I would hope that any rep wanting to sell me something would be looking out for my interests, instead of hoping to sell me the more expensive set on its own.
[4] There are a lot of items on my wish list, but I'm focused on saving up for a Mobile Ed course I'd like to buy, along with other Mobile Ed pre-pubs I'll have to pay for. Hopefully they don't all ship on the same month!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Don't know about the call number. But yes, I got one. And I'm on the do not contact list.

Many years ago i use to get them but I asked them not to call (I have not received a call again from my memory)... I am not sure how often they do it or when it happens. But they have been doing it for over a decade, whether it has been constant or occasional I cannot say since I no longer get calls.

That would be something that would have me calling FL to complain about. Heck I am the type of person if i hadn't got satisfaction I MIGHT call in to just waste their time randomly since they cannot respect my expressed wishes...

No reason to complain. That's how do not contact lists usually work. Here's a quote from the National Do Not Call Registry FAQ:
[quote]
In addition, companies may still call if you’ve recently done business with the company.

However, Denise has not specified whether she's on the FL internal or the national (or any 3rd party) contact list.
I have assumed the latter, because she did receive sales calls. Which as I said is fine with (as far as I know) any governmental or 3rd party list, as they generally allow sales calls by companies with which the customer has had recent business.
If Denise is indeed on the FL internal do not call list, in that case, I'd agree, that'd be very concerning. Until we don't know that, let's better not make any further assumptions.

That is very fair Jan, and I made the assumption it was the company one, I am sure she can clarify.

I have been a customer for 13 months, and that was the only cold call I have gotten from Logos. I'm not upset or anything. I posted because I didn't know if this was ordinary or not.
If I started to get other unsolicited calls from FL and it became a nuisance, I'd ask to not be called, but I do happily get emails, and would happily continue to do business with FL. Logos is better than any other bible software I've tried, and I'm very thankful for the program.
I think FL would prefer that I buy more items, but finances are tight. (I wanted to buy the WBC, the entire set did go on sale with dynamic pricing, and I still couldn't afford the remainder of the set. I was thankful to be able to buy a few more individual volumes.) God is good, all the time!

Hi Denise. I apologize for the mistake in you having been reached out to despite your contact preference. I sent you an email with further regards to this circumstance.

Years back I was getting them 4-5 times a year, so it was not a overly frequent thing, but I prefer not to get them at all.

Busy doing taxes this AM.
First, the call list is Logos-internal. However, I've no idea what it is. When the Catholic sales manager apologized, he said he put me on the do not contact list. Whatever that is. And that seemed to work.
Anyway Brian did indeed send me an apology and a $25 credit. The credit is unnecessary, if he wants to use it for his daughter (his avatar). The note was nice; I appreciate it.
For clarity, we've got to the point of not answering the (home) phone ... they record your words for later use. So, it's not an anti-FL thing.

I have gotten calls occasionally from FL. Generally, I don't answer unrecognized phone calls. I figure if it's important they will leave a message. Streamlines the time.
