Thought that they were adding highlighting and other editing capabilities to the sermon editor? Or did I misunderstand another thread?
That was added in an earlier beta. Beta release notes only cover what's new since the previous beta.
The list of every addition and change since the previous stable release will show up in the stable release notes.
Although it would be useful for each set of release notes to have a link to the previous set of release notes ...

Where are the images uploaded to?
Logos' servers. Or did you mean something else?
Can they be removed after being uploaded?
Yes. Hover over the image, and there's a delete icon.
Is there support for tags or other metadata?
Not at the moment. Planned for later, according to the announcement.
Are there controls for access (private, selective sharing, public)?
They're all private at the moment.
