iphone or blackberry
I'm considering upgrading my smartphone. To use the Logos application in a smartphone I understand the Iphone is the best. Can logos software be downloaded to a blackberry?

No. The logos app is for the iphone only. However, the is a mobile site that can be accessed from any smartphone: library.logos.com.

You can also access it from a regular browser if you wanted to see what it looks like and the functionality. personally I have an iPhone and love it. i would much rather have it than a Blackberry because of the things I can do with it like facebook, Linkedin as well as games when I'm really bored. I tend to use it more for personal than business. i do check my work email and sync my calendar and contacts. I also use it to stay connected with IM (gtalk) when I'm traveling. If your purchasing it yourself it really boils down toy your personal choice, but I wouldn't give up my iPhone for any other smartphone. I'm always connected to friends and work (except for when i turn ir off to get away[:D])

I have to agree with Stephen. I have had a blackberry and I recently went with the iphone because it can do so much more then a blackberry. I use mine for business and personal reasons. I won't have any other phone but a iphone. I just got the logos for my iphone and loving it already and I can't wait to tell others about it.

Joe you just hit the nail on the head of why I haven't switched just for the IPhone... I really have no desire to deal with ATT/Cingular... When the IPhone is available to other carriers, I may be interested. But just sent my order in for the HTC Ozone so it will be another year before I look for the IPhone... The Logos app did work pretty nice though. I played with it on a IPod Touch. Look forward to checking out library.logos.com on Win Mobile 6.5...

Joe,
It's not only a service issue for me. Yes, that's of course the most important, I do need to get email and actually make phone calls, something I cannot do with ATT/Cingular except and that's in the Greater Boston Area. However, I recently tested an iPhone and of course Logos is very nice.
However, after loading my personal and office email, which is an OTA Redirector, that syncs Calendar, Contacts, etc., as well as a few other purely Business Applications, the iPhone turned into a brick. It's nice to have the books though, on my Store 2 with WiFi and the Opera Browser, this combo works well, but NOT like Logos works on the iPhone.

I'd be surprised to see the iPhone on Verizon before 2012 for hardware reasons. The iPad would have been a perfect opportunity to drop in an EVDO or 3G radio compatible with Verizon or another US carrier, but they didn't.
An unlocked iPhone will work on T-Mobile's Edge network if you can settle for slower data speeds.
