As promised, here is a list of pre-pub titles that will be cancelled in 30 days unless they get enough pre-orders to make it into production. If you really want one of these titles/collections, now's your chance to show your support!

Lobbying for these two.
These are two I would really like... I know you have no Crystal Ball but is there any chance these might be broken up to allow individual books a chance or is Kindle my best bet if these PrePubs go bye bye?
-Dan
I hope to see this one make it through
This is part of a series that was recently released .... after a very long period in production.
I'd be sad to see this lost.
I want all the Baylor and Fortress Press products. I have already ordered them. So if they are cancelled I am fine with it. I ordered those products 4 years ago.
Interesting list. I thought all the volumes on Babylonian verbal inflection patterns might be a problem. Instead, 'soft' stuff mainly.
For any Clementine weepers: https://www.amazon.com/Jewish-Christian-Interpretation-Pentateuch-Pseudo-Clementine-Homilies-ebook/dp/B00EIG8YJQ
You'll pay maybe $5 more.
I put this one to illustrate. You'll notice, it's an ebook. Very unlikely there's a lot of Clementiners among the Logosian population. I'm not a Vyrso enthusiast ... the searches don't mix and I never remember. But, it does beg the question.
EDIT: Just for info, this resource is quite good, if you just can't throw in the towel on the Ebionites (like me). It's one of the few Ebionite-associated books (Pseudo-Clementines) that survived the heresy-burners. I went ahead with the Kindle.
Ben:
Why is https://www.logos.com/product/52362/the-sense-of-the-universe-philosophical-explication-of-theological-commitment-in-modern-cosmology in the above list ?
Was the email notification that it is shipping on March 2nd sent in error?

would also seem to be a potential problem given it is currently part of https://www.logos.com/product/129083/studies-on-pauls-cultural-background which is showing as "almost there".....

This suggests to me, Ben, that I still will be able to acquire this volume. That is good news.
David: digging deep, aye?? Good stuff.
Why, why, why. Sad to see this included in the list:

is there the possibility of these titles moving to vyrso?
Vyrso has some [unknown] number of Fortress books. Perhaps these titles could be moved to Vyrso.
A Vyrso Fortress title: https://vyrso.com/product/20963/the-theological-and-the-political-on-the-weight-of-the-world

What is the series, MJ?
EDIT: Never mind. I found it. (I should pay closer attention to the product page [:$])

I wonder if individual titles are counted when they are part of a bundle?
I don't order a pre-pub title when it is in a pre-pub bundle I order.
Dale Heath
There are several Fortress titles that I will miss. I didn't find any additional in the list that I wanted.
I wonder if another search parameter could be added to pre-pubs, such as: Soon to be deleted (removed)? Or a special section at the beginning of the pre-pubs. Something to draw attention to them.
The history of Christianity l
Or a special section at the beginning of the pre-pubs. Something to draw attention to them.
Yes. This should happen. How else will people be aware of what is about to happen? All these about to be removed pre-pubs should be in a section at the top of the pre-pub list with their expiration date made plain. There is nothing about this on the pre-pub listing pages.
There should also be a notice on each of these about-to-be cancelled pre-pub pages.

That's a great idea!
And the number of Fortress books in Vyrso is currently 17: https://vyrso.com/products/search?Publisher=Fortress+Press - definitely room for more.
Sometimes the hurdle might be a collection itself. For example I'm interested in these two books out of the Baylor New Testament Studies Collection:
https://www.logos.com/product/25244/baylor-new-testament-studies-collection#005https://www.logos.com/product/25244/baylor-new-testament-studies-collection#007
But the price for the whole collection is to steep for me. However, I might consider to pre-order them if they were offered separately. Just a thought.

Not everyone reads the forums in a ''strenuous'' manner. These busy people would miss the disappearance of pre-pubs, then have a later ''whoa'' moment.
I'm not sure about stacking the prepub deathlist at the top of the prepubs. Sort of a marketing disaster notice. Maybe an orange button 'Last Chance!'.
The bigger issue is the Logos.com large library, and then new proposed prepub entries. You really must be driven, to deal with it. Maybe earlier, it wasn't so big.
Amazon is a similar issue. Just using their example, they catch me with authors I like (new prepubs that auto-ship later) and 'books like this'. That is the best. I literally move from book to book, using ' books like this'.
The carot system can narrow down. But the categories are large and over-lapping. Exhausting. The emails (sorry) mindless. Not to be excessively catty, but I really don't think marketing knows their product. The publishers don't ... the advert copy is thin, and everyone copies it.
A smart algorythm ... 'books like this'. Given the Logosians are fairly homogenous (comparatively), it'd work in the mainstream, and margins as well.
What if the drop box had a sort by mode named, ''Last Chance'' or ''On the Ropes'' + a ''Last Chance'' button on the book's page, the latter as Denise suggests??
Maybe not, ''On the Ropes.''
Bullseye Denise. You've hit the nail on its head and scored a hole in one with your analysis.

I don't know, I kind of like it. [:)] [:P]

Just double checking we have till March 19th right???
We managed to get https://www.logos.com/product/40843/fortress-press-contemporary-theology-collection up to the almost there point..... Still hoping we can get this one under contract before the magic day comes...
Dan?? Looks like 45% ... did they kill it like the Brill encyclopedias? Or did I screw up?
Dan?? Looks like 45% ...
I see the same - maybe the production cost was recalculated (as it sometimes happens on CP) ?
I don't think that would happen with pre-pubs, but maybe!

New Jerusalem Bible "Gathering interest" bar has shrunk from 65% to 50% since 20th February.
It would be nice to know what is going on behind the scenes!

It's my bad...
https://www.logos.com/product/52352/fortress-studies-on-passages-in-the-gospels was what i meant to cut and past which is still in the orange...
Well I don't know about the NJB, but I remember when I inquired years ago how many more were required to get the NIB made, Bob said he would look into it and a similar dramatic drop occurred when he wrote back and told me they had no idea it was going to be that complex. So possible that the NJB is more complex than they thought. But that is pure speculation of what might have happened...
I plan to cancel them on Monday, March 20.
The works by 20 women authors are represented within the above list of pre-pubs to be cancelled.
How many customers know these will disappear on March 20th?

Question is now moot as it has gone green.... unless suddenly everyone who ordered it cancels...

Sorry, Dan, it still needs a few more orders. There was a slight calculation mishap on the back end.
Another miscalculation, really? You'd think they'd have those fixed by now 👎
Just a reminder that you still have until Monday to save these pre-pubs from cancellation!
Well, Ben, your new PP deathlist program is straining my Kindle budget!
Obviously, this title won't get too far in Logosland, though the question it poses, strikes at the very heart of evangelical assumptions.
Unfortunately, the Kindle is almost $50, and the paper version less! Kindle now is the preferred format? So, it's on my wish list.
About to die: https://www.logos.com/product/54197/fortress-early-christian-studies
Just wanted to quickly highlight the two that are closest to being funded:
All of the pre-pubs in the initial list have been cancelled with the exception of these four (which received enough orders):
Wow, Ben has a LOT more influence then I imagined.
April looked pretty dead, Logos-ship-wise (indeed 2017 for me). So, I was ready to cough up 50 Kindle-bucks for the Mark prepub that had died a slow and horrible death.
But, no! the Kindle price dropped 40%! Yes, thanks, very likely to Ben. Or someone that reads Ben's deathlist warning. Happy me.
