highlights in multiple translations

I know that it is possible to set it so that you can have highlights go across translations, however, I don't remember how to do it. (I have it set up, but I did it so long ago I do not remember how).

Can someone point me in the right direction for this? Thanks!

It is the "corresponding notes & highlights" visual filter. Both resources need to have an RI.

What's an RI? And this is for the new CSB Bible. "Notes and Highlights" shows up under visual filter, but not corresponding.

An RI is a "Reverse Interlinear" which provides additional tagging associated with the text. The CSB does not have one and so the corresponding notes feature won't work

This feature depends upon some trickery/magic. Highlights attach to individual characters within Logos. Seeing highlights in multiple translations doesn't make sense in this schema by definition: if another translation reliably had the same characters, it would be the same translation and there would be no need for the feature. If the highlights were attached to individual verse references instead of characters, users would be unable to highlight individual words (or parts of words!). My understand is that the "magic" occurs by the software recognizing the highlight present in one RI bible, deciphering the underlying lemma, then applying the highlight to the surface text in other RI bibles at the same reference. I guess original language word order also is part of it. I'm sure there is more to it, but that should explain why you can't get highlights in the CSB: there is no underlying info to assist Logos to show them to you.

Thank you for the useful information. I think I might use the CSB to read through the Bible in a year, and start fresh with notes/highlights.

This is not entirely true. Both resources need to be marked up with word numbers. Word numbers are available in all Reverse Interlinears, and in all original language (Greek and Hebrew) Bibles.

Word numbers are a unique identifier for each original language word, and are used for a broad variety of purposes in linking together two different Bible texts.
