For those who use Beta exclusively, I am considering moving to it exclusively. Are there any warnings that you may offer?

Are there any warnings that you may offer?
WARNING: You may also become addicted to getting the latest and greatest before it goes mainstream. [:D]
I switched over entirely a couple of months ago. Yes, there are risks and I understand that if the software burps and I lose stuff - it's my own fault. Yet, the Logos team runs a great build system and I haven't experienced but a couple of regressions. (I'm guessing they are using a test-driven development environment.)
My hats off to those guys.
My only advise is that you do not keep precious things in Logos Beta. I use a combination of Logos and MS OneNote. Typing in Logos notes is painfully slow, so I do everything in OneNote anyway.
only the usual caveat, betas can go wrong... if you have 2 machines, maybe leave one with latest proper release and other for beta, or you may lose funtionality until its fixed..
In addition to all the other thoughts offered, I'll offer that L3 makes a great backup system, should anything go wrong with L4....
Especially since I was going to run it anyway...
I used the beta exclusively before 4.0 shipped (had no choice; still had L3 though), I opted out for 4.0a (I'd gotten "beta fatique") but once 4.0b went into beta I upgraded to that and have been using it pretty much exclusively. One thing I might recommend, since sometimes the first beta of a new upgrade is a bit more rocky than subsequent onces, is turn off "automatically download updates" until beta 2 or 3 comes out. For now 4.0b betas are pretty stable and anything that gets broken in a new beta is usually only the new features they're putting in. (Actually, back when I was doing software development, we'd never go into a beta release phase until we were "feature complete" so we wouldn't release new betas with new features in them; it was just bug fixes by that point and perhaps fixing design flaws, and certainly performance tuning. I'm not quite sure I like Logos's model of calling these betas rather than alphas, but whatever; I'm still happy to be using them and trying out the new features before they ship in order to give my feedback.)
The current Beta is great. I've got a backup 4.0a install but I haven't had to fall back on it.
Beta 8 is crashing in some alarming ways (like trying to sort the Library by clicking on any of the column headings), so I'd hold off for a bit until we get a fix for this.
I hadn't tried sorting until your post. You're right this is troubling bug, hopefully Beta 9 comes out faster than Beta 8 did.

I can reproduce this.
This crash has been reported. ~ Thanks, Melissa
