I am not 100% sure I am going to get this series... I see it praised but when I have viewed it something almost seems lacking... the pages are small and often contain useful information but at such a high price I am not sure if the value is there for me... However as it states on the page: Get this special low price while you can! Starting 4/29, the Pre-Pub price will be $1199.99. There is no dynamic pricing because they have never offered this set before.

I have them in hardback and I use the PDF files on my iPad.

Kenneth how do you find this series? Like I said above I am not fully convinced of this the page counts looked impressive and a great value but then you go to the samples and seeing the small amount on each page compared with what you see in the New Interpreter's Bible or Expositor's Bible Commentary. I am not saying I believe you have numerous words to provide good information, just that page counts become meaningless when you are use to more words per page. I know a favourite of mine the Interpretation series in its 43 volumes you have about 87 mb of work verses 12 volumes of NIB at 120 mb (these numbers based on the folio editions I owned).

I received a flyer from S&H in the mail, when the series was first introduced.

I have enjoyed the series. Like many commentary series some volumes are more helpful than others. If you would like to see how it treats a specific passage Dan let me know. Right now I don't have my laptop with me, so I cannot post any screen shots but later this evening, I can. I live in Ohio and will not be home until around 9 pm.

I'm not Kenneth, but I own most of the published volumes. The Job volume, if I may be permitted some hyperbole, is worth the price of the whole set. The Jeremiah volume is also superb. I wouldn't be concerned about page count. Sometimes, a word limit on authors forces them to make every word count. Also, the illustrations and sidebars set this series apart from most others. If I were beginning all over again, owning no commentaries, I might very well make this series (together with the NIB) my first choice.

I have no familiarity with this set. The only observation I'd make is that this collection is not the entire series; a few specific volumes have not been published yet. I imagine that FL will have to publish an update down the road, to complete this series.

Guess I like have several months at minimal to decide. I likely would want all the gospels since you can rare get enough there... as well as 1 & 2 Kings by Walter Brueggemann and Jeremiah by Terence E. Fretheim.

Just received an email stating, "Please note: due to digital rights restrictions, this product will include only a portion of the images found in the print edition." This statement is now posted to the product page as well.

Can someone at Faithlife give us an idea as to what the quantitative value of "portion" is equal to? Is it 20% of the pictures...50%...80%...or something else? Is it the same across all volumes, or is it different by volume? Thank-you.
