Layout Bug

Are there any plans to fix the following:

When you change layouts, the whole program re-sizes for a moment, then goes back to full size, before changing the layout.

I am not complaining about the speed of the change, although it would be nice if it were quicker. But I know there is a lot going on in the program to change layouts. What annoys me is the re-sizing.

I know it is not a high priority, because it does not affect actual performance. Maybe it annoys me more than it should, but it does. It just makes the program look less polished to me.

Will this eventually be addressed?
