Yes with one exception, the iPod touch needs a wireless connection; whereas the iPhone will switch between wifi and 3G automatically. Both use the same Iphone 3.0 OS

For me, the biggest advantage of the Ipod Touch over the Iphone is that once you purchase your Ipod, you have no monthly expense to use it, whereas the Iphone has a hefty monthly fee, since it's a telephone too, I guess, but way to pricey for me.
I just purchased my 32g ipod touch yesterday. I went for the 32 since the 8g was 195 at Walmart (199 from Apple), and the for only 100.00 more, you get 24 more gigs. I don't NEED the extra space now, but who knows what is coming and the 32g is so much more cost effective.
Since I mainly bought it was for the convenience of offline reading. I am disappointed somewhat that some of my favorites are not available for the iphone/ipod. It appears to me that none of the Tyndale works are available for the iphone? Anybody know anything different?

I too purchased the iPod primarily for Logos. It is 50-50 when something I want to read is licensed for mobile viewing. I certainly wish that there were more.
But honestly most of my reading is still done on the computer when I have the option because of the notetaking and highlighting options. It'll be very good when the iPod gets it. I just hope it'll be an offline feature as well.

I think you will find it fills up quick. I just bought a 64 gig one today since I dropped my 32 gig iTouch in a sink full of water last night. I had the memory maxed right out. There is so much great stuff to put on it and use it for.

You guys have probably already discovered these features but I'm just finding them.
The verse look up when you are in a Bible is awesome and so fast. Also, I noticed that when I mark favorites on the ipod, when I sync, they show up as mobile favorites in Logos 4 and I can access them. That lets me then highlight in L4 so I've got them. Sure hope we get highlight functionality soon on the Ipod/phone.
I'm disappointed that most of the basic commentaries are not apparently available for the ipod. JFB from Logos is the only single volume one I can find. That really surprises me. Not even Believer's Bible Commentary or Matthew Henry's. I love the Opening Up commentaries but they aren't available for all books. I'm in Numbers and there is very little commentary available for ipod.
