[Workaround available, no fix] Mac: Problem with copying to word: Footnote is in text instead of a r

Hi all,
when I am copying text from a resource, and paste it into Microsoft Word, the footnote is directly in text body instead of in a footnote. This happens on macOS, newest version of Logos, newest version of Microsoft Word 2016.
I just tried the same with Logos on my Windows Laptop, using also the newest version of Word 2016: It works as expected: The footnote appears where its supposed to.
Then I checked: The settings are the same.
I know this feature used to work with Open/LibreOffice, and when it stopped working I assumed it must be LibreOffice's fault. But somehow it too stopped in Microsoft Word.
Any idea where the issue might be?
Blessings,

I know I'm being redundant, but are you certain that the default paste mode is set to either "Merge" or "Keep source formatting" rather than "text only"?
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Hi Thomas
I believe this relates to a change in the Word product.
Logos has developed a workaround - details at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/133854.aspx - that you might want to try

Hi Graham,
indeed, thanks for pointing me to it.
It is sad that Microsoft made a change that worked for years, after all, they made the effort to align the word and the mac version of office. And now still there is such a discrepancy.
Anyhow, thanks, and blessings.

It does give you a chance to look at some alternative apps though - discovering Scrivener kinda rocked my world.
