Access to Courses on mobile Logos - Android and iOS
I was looking at the courses feature in Logos 7 and found a course I wanted to do on Pilgrim's Progress in the list of courses I own the resources for. I started the course but it doesn't show up on my Android tablet (6.0 Marshmallow) or iPhone 5S (running iOS 10.3x). When I try to select a course from the mobile app all it does is send me to the store to buy books. Can anybody enlighten me to what I'm missing?

It could be you haven't given it time to sync between your computer <>cloud<>device?
I just tested it with my Android on NT146 and it worked fine, picking up where I left off this morning on my desktop.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Welcome Daniel!
I have to admit, I have never used the courses tool. I took a look at my iPhone app and desktop and have some questions:
- Do you own a copy of Pilgrim's Progress (the book)?
- Does it show as owned if you click HERE?
- From my investigation of the desktop app, it appears to me that there is a reading plan, which can be generated through the "courses" tool on the desktop. I would expect that a reading plan would be generated, and that you would access that reading plan through the home page on the mobile app (or from "documents" menu). Do you expect something different?

I first tried to sync the PP course the night before last... and I also ran the sync command to ensure that it did in fact sync my data.
I do own Pilgrim's Progress. The course showed as available and that I owned all required resources. As I said, it let me start the course on my desktop but doesn't show up on mobile. Courses aren't quite the same as reading plans. In this case it's pretty much the same, but courses can include video content and other assignments; so no, it should show up under Courses not reading plans...

For clarification: In the "courses" tool on desktop, I have a "pilgrims progress" reading plan. There are no "resources" or "videos" other than the book itself. Are you seeing something different? I can't find any "pilgrims progress" course on the website.

It's just a course that seems to be a reading plan, nothing really else. But it's on my desktop app as a Course, not a Reading Plan. I could do a reading plan if I wanted to... but I'm just trying to figure out how to actually use the Courses tool on my mobile apps and it's not working.

I only see Mobile Ed courses listed under iOS Courses.
One possibility is that "Courses" on iOS refers to Mobile Ed courses, not the Courses Tool (plans which lets you read through a book). Perhaps someone from FL can clarify whether that is the intention.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

This is correct - it was introduced to support the Logos 6 Courses capability and hasn't been updated to include the new features in Logos 7.
The last I saw from this on Faithlife was an intention to do this at some stage - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/129239/844959.aspx#844959

SO, does a reading plan document appear on mobile? Again, I don't know how this works, but if it is just a reading plan, it would seem to me you would access it the same way as other reading plans.

No it doesn't work that way.
Within the Courses Tool there are a number of courses set up of type "Book Reading Plan" which are designed to guide you through a resource (in the same way as conventional reading plans do).
While they are similar - in concept - they can't currently be created by users but are provided by Faithlife.
This class of courses are not shown in the Courses app on the mobile apps nor do they appear as Reading Plan documents (because they aren't)
There are other classes of courses - Topical and Devotional - which, similarly, don't appear on the mobile apps.

The Courses Tool (reading) plans are different from the Documents reading plans that a customer creates.
While the Documents reading plans are available on mobile devices, the Courses tool reading plans are only available within the Courses Tool (which is only available on the desktop).

Haha thanks all. That is disappointing as the main use I'd have for reading plan style courses would be on my tablet... hopefully that will be updated soon.
