Exegetical Guide settings
With an ever present eye on Dave Hooten, I submit that my EG settings keep changing. I set it to "include only these parts of speech" and leave all parts unchecked, which is the current method of not running the whole kit and kaboodle. But it appears to be constantly resetting. Having said that, it may be resetting with each upgrade (recently Beta 9). Is there a way of doing updates without constantly losing your settings? I don't know if this is a Beta specific issue, probably not, but that is what I am currently running.
PS. wanted to use my snipping tool (win 7) to capture that drop down setting menu, but am unsuccessful. I can't get it to stay open for teh snip. Can anyone else do it?

Not sure what menu you are referring to. In my snipping tool I can set a keyboard shortcut to activate it. That is the only way to have a menu stay open for the snip. If I had to use the mouse to activate it the menu would close. I use Jing.

yeah, Mark, that is the one. Looking at my Win 7 snipping tool . . . I don't think it has a hot key activation.

If you have OneNote you can use Windows + S to activate its snipping tool

Kevin, I do have OneNote, but I only think of it as web-snipping . . . okay, will try that.
BUT, still would like input on Settings changing. Does that happen willy nilly? Does it always happen on update to new version? Regardless of why, can that be set and then "forget" about it?

about the EG settings. I know that 3 or 4 times now (and *sheepishly* I have not run EG all that much) I have set the settings to "include these parts of speech" and then not checked any parts, but upon another EG "run", a bit later, that setting has reverted back to "show all". (and it wasn't ME who did it . . . nor my dog or 6 year old son)

I just noticed my EG settings change everytime I open Logos. It reverts back to "show all". Just for curiosity, I tried saving the layout, but that didn't make a difference either, as far as particular settings in the EG's Word by Word section.

Hi Dan,
I think you need to change the setting for the guide using the edit template so it is saved. If you just click on the settings and then close, the EG will revert back to the saved template. To edit the template click on the upper left box and select edit template. This should save your settings.
