Web App Improvements: May 23-June 5
Here's a summary of improvements we've rolled out over the past two weeks. It's not an exhaustive list, so if I missed anything valuable to you, feel free to mention it!
- Added ability to hide/unhide home page cards
- Moved panel menu to a 3-dot "kebab" on the right side of panels
- Table of contents is now shown via the (old) 3-line "hamburger" button on the left side of panels
- Added shortcut key (Alt+C) to jump to the command bar
- Panel tabs now use the abbreviated title by default, and show tooltips on hover
- Library panel searches now match better as you type
- Opening Bible Browser now uses your preferred bible by default
- Wrapped long Bible browser facets
- Fixed Home Page link for "Jesus speaking to God"
- Fixed padding of Information caption on Resource Panels
- Added paging to Factbook Preacing Resource section
- Fixed Bible+Commentary card not doing anything when clicked
- Fixed a number of inconsistencies in panel linking
- Fixed your last session not being saved after closing the browser (Note: if you go directly to app.logos.com it will now remember your last layout, but if you re-open a saved tab/bookmark it will not yet)
Thanks for your continued support and feedback!

The web app keeps getting better. I've stopped bringing my laptop to work with all the improvements over the last year. Thanks!

- Any plan on bringing the bible-reading-plan into the web-app?
- Any ETA on syncing our Notes into web-app?
Other than those requests... Everything else looks awesome, thank you!

Thanks for the requests, Mark.
Is there something specific you'd like to see added for reading plans? I can currently view my reading plans in the documents menu, see the visual filter in the resource, and mark readings as read. Are you referring to the ability to create reading plans or is there more to it?
Merging web notes with the rest of your notes is something we are working toward but we're still a long ways off. I would expect you will see other improvements to web app notes though in the next several weeks. Our plan right now is to build a new notes platform on the web first and eventually bring that to desktop and mobile along with merging the note data. I'll reiterate that this is a long-term plan.

Thanks for all the work on the web app and while i understand the approach and reasoning for above it results in the web app being of not much use to be while you have too separate platforms for notes and highlighting. The desktop is my primary platform and the iOS app on my phone is still my secondary platform because I can still use the same notes and highlights without breaking my workflow and I still have acess to them via the desktop if their is a server or internet outage. You can not offer me that safety net with the current platform of web app notes and highlights. So for me the web app with its current status of development is going to be no more than an ocassional e-reader until you have the one platform.

In both Chrome and Opera, I am running into a problem where the commentary does not switch according to the verse that I select.
Steps:
I enter into the web app. I select Bible and Commentary. I type the passage I want to study, but the commentary does not follow. I have the resource, but it does not display.

I can:
-View my reading plans in the documents menu
-Open the reading plan document.
But nothing else. Clicking on the link for the reading in the doc does nothing. If I manually navigate to the correct sport in the resource, the visual filter for the reading plan does not show.
This feature has never worked for me in the web app since its introduction.

Ok the box at the sub-level wasn't checked so the VF is showing now.
Clicking the link in the reading plan document, however, still doesn't do anything.

Hi Kevin,
I can't seem to reproduce the issue you show. I set my preferred bible to ESV and my preferred commentary to the NAC, and it worked fine.
However, we recently changed the commentary preference to support series such as the NAC, instead of a singular resource (such as the NAC resource for "Ezra, Nehamiah, Esther"). Perhaps try re-setting your preferred commentary on the home page to the NAC (ie by selecting a different commentary in the drop down, then re-selecting the NAC series)?
