I tried to install Faithlife TV app on my Android TV, specifically the NVIDIA Shield TV. Nada.
There is a FTV app on Android phones, but not on the TV box. Just asking if this is an oversight or is there a plan to change add it?

Support for Android TV and Fire TV are on the roadmap, but we've had a couple setbacks in that development. In the meantime, we do support Chromecast from our Android mobile app, and you can cast from that to the NVIDIA Shield.

We have a beta version of Faithlife TV in the Google Play Store that supports Android TV UI. I don't have a NVIDIA Shield TV to test with, but it does work in a Android TV emulator and on Amazon Fire TV.
I am not sure how to tell you how to find the app in the NVIDIA App Store, but this is the Google Play test URL:

So far so good on my Amazon fire box though I have odd stuttering issues with my mobile Ed videos that don't happen on my Roku or Apple TV
I installed the Android TV app on both a Nexus Player (wi-fi) and an NVIDIA SHIELD (ethernet). A couple of observations:
I have Faithlife TV working on Nvidia Shield just fine and parts are working on a Sony Android TV.
For example, Luther works fine on both setups, but when I try to watch one of the educational training videos about archaeology, it runs for about 30 seconds, the video goes black and the sound keeps going. Stop and start it and you will get another 30 seconds or so of video before it goes black again...
Thoughts?
Can you give us a specific example of a video that doesn't work on the Shield? The exact title would help. Thanks!
AR101 Archaeology in Action works fine on the Shield -- it is the Sony Android TV that is having the black out problem.
I am seeing possibly a few of the episodes in AR101 might have have problems with some of the video stream bitrates, but not all.

I have the stuttering issue with Mobile Ed as well. It's rather frustrating.
Not sure if I should start a new thread but decided to stick this here since there aren't many Android TV threads in the forum. I'm trying to install Logos (not faithlife TV). I just picked up an Nvidia Shield, installed Logos, and it's just a vertical blue screen (not horizontal as it should be) without any buttons, login, etc. Anyone have any luck running Logos Bible Software on Android TV? A real bummer. It's the only app I've installed that hasn't worked (using Corsair K83 Bluetooth Android Keyboard).
