I believe I misread your earlier post Ben. From what I can tell I will have to wait until you build that page that lists the specific books first before being able to see what would be free

Ben sir
I used to be a member but I let it lapse. Will there be a way for me to see what books will be free if I were to join again or would I have to join first?
Because of the way the discount works, you'd have to be a member before you can see them at this point. Once we have the facet set up, you'll be able to see the full selection.

Just to confirm. The facet will not be ready until Monday. That means it won't be on the Logos Now Members page until Monday. If you come across anyone else on the forums asking about it, I would really appreciate it if you'd point them toward this post.
Thanks all! I hope you enjoy the selection.

Anyone get this to work yet? The books are either not up or I own all 3,100 of them already....

Same with me. Although I am approaching 12,000 resources, I had hoped that there'd be at least a few freebies for me. I'm hoping the freebies just aren't live yet.

It is not working for me either.

When I was logged in to Logos this morning I noticed a book in my wish list was set to $0 and I assumed this was why. I didn't buy it because I wanted to wait to see the whole list. But, I purchased the free book of the month and then went searching for the Logos Now free books and they are all marked full price again.
Maybe it's being worked on. I'll check back Monday.
This is the book I saw free: https://www.logos.com/product/6453/an-etymological-glossary-of-nearly-2500-english-words-in-common-use-derived-from-the-greek

Currently I am getting all sorts of internal server errors when trying to browse the website or even open my wishlist. I am taking that as a sign that Faithlife is actively tweaking the website to get these deals up and running.

Well based on this I think I own all 3,100 resources....

For right now just ignore the link, as it is not doing what it should. Either randomly browse the website or search for public domain titles you might be interested in. There are a lot of freebies currently showing, but there is no way I have found (yet) to view the all at once. So far my pick is Deissmann's Bible Studies, but I am definitely going to wait and see the full list before making a decision!

Logos has done a great job with this web app. It's definitely come a long way, and it looks great. Thanks for making it available to all Logos 7 users!

Resources from J.D. Jones collection looked to be included
https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=Jones&Author=17197%7cJ.+D.+Jones
I would not be surprised if a lot of the 3,100 resources were public domain titles that have been through community pricing.
Ben indicated not to expect things to be up a running properly until Monday.

Where do you find all those books for us LN members?

Right now there is no one place to view them. You just have to search/browse and see what you can find. The price will be listed in red as $0.00, and the product page will indicate the book is available free to LN members. The site still seems to be having lots of internal server errors (at least when I am trying to use it). Faithlife indicated the website will be updated tomorrow with an easy way to view available titles.

- The web app will no longer be a LN exclusive, starting July 1
- LN users will gain access to FL TV until end of July
- LN users will gain ability to choose a free book (from a list) each month to keep.
- If you have questions, call customer service
When will the details about the new revamped LN hit the main page? I'd be very interested in coming back to LN if it comes with a free book each month. I subscribe to FLTV as well. It would be a great bonus if that was just given to LN members as well
Bump!
They should be up on the page by July 1.
Quick update: Starting tomorrow, there will be more than 3,100 titles available on the website from which Logos Now members can choose one a month for free.
We're currently working on creating a faceted search page to list all of these books for easy access. It looks like we might not be able to ship that facet today (if not, it will be ready on Monday). This doesn't mean the books won't be free, it just means they'll be harder to find
The short-term solution is to use this link to sort products by lowest price. This will show the free books first. Depending on how many free books you've picked up in the past, there be some books on here that are normally free.
There is no need to enter a coupon code as the free-book discount is linked to your account by virtue of having a Logos Now membership.
Thanks!

Good news! We got the facet created! [:D]
https://www.logos.com/products/search?Product+Type=Free+titles+for+Now+members
Bad news, the discount we're using caused an internal server error. [:'(]
We're working on it right now and hope to get it fixed today. In the mean time, the discount won't show up. I'll post back here once we have everything sorted out.

Thank you Ben and Andrew for the updates. Of the 3,100 only 62 I don't own. Of those I counted 17 are languages I am not familiar with such as Spanish or Syriac. After excluding those I found a lot of remaining titles are in base packages or collections and so the value of them is not what they might first seem when I consider their cost within a base package / collection rather than a standalone resource. A small number were not in base packages or collections. Despite the slim pickings thank you FL adding this to Logos Now program.

FL is working on a fix for that problem. In the meantime, the (free for LN members) discount doesn't show up.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Faithlife is still working on the website. Those resources that were showing up as free are now not. I would give them a couple of hours and check it again.

These look like mostly old CP type resources. Or was that the idea?

Thanks for pointing this out. We'll try to regularly add new books (probably once a month) so that members will always have something to choose from.

I only have 7 titles in English that I do not own, which kind of makes the subscription fairly limited for me. It is a shame that if you have a big library you miss a key value driver for a subscription.
I have cancelled my impending auto renew LN subscription.

Thanks Ben, I have not purchased one. There were books showing up free before I grabbed the book of the month and then when I went to search for the various books (before the list was published) the ones that were free, were not any more. But, I didn't buy one. Thanks!

Actually, that's very strange. Looking at my purchase history, it shows that I purchased
The Art of Dying Well by Bellarmine, Robert
I did not even see that book, nor would I have chosen that title. Very odd.

Hello Ben,
I ordered a free book a little over a half hour ago and it is not showing up in my library yet. It shows as purchased on the book page and in my orders page. I have not received an email receipt of the purchase yet either. Just letting you know.
Thanks!

Well, the book is now showing in my library! However, I have not received the receipt yet. Thanks!

Ben and everyone at FaithLife, thanks for this great enhancement to Logos Now! I've found enough titles I'm interested in (classic 19C/early 20C theological works) for at least the next 12 months. The only problem is choosing which to pick first.

Most likely I just need to better understand this. I did see from a link a book that was listed for $0 and grabbed it today. But it was the only book I saw listed for $0. On the link of the list sent, none of those books showed up as potentially for free. I think I do not understand how it works.
Is it possible to have a link sent to us each month of the potentially free books for LN members can choose from? And when that link arrives, are we expected to see a list of books that will show $0? or will they show $0 after a coupon is put in? How exactly does it work?

Mark said:

If you click on THIS LINK, you will see a list of books which are part of the "choose one" promo. If you have NOT chosen a book already in the month, they will all show up as "free." If you have already picked one up, it will show up at regular price (as it should for you right now).
I am not convinced that the system is perfect. What happens when someone browses and sees "WOW! LOOK AT ALL THE FREEBIES!" and puts them all in their cart. Presumably they will have a big bill.

Thanks Alabama. I think what happened in my case is I saw the list and saw none for free except one. I added that to my library. But I was and am confused why from the entire list, only one was free. I think some were grayed out indicating I already owned those books. But others were not grayed out and not showing for free.
Yes, if they all were showing for free, I probably would have 'purchased' all of them. So I am still confused as to how this all should be working. It seems to me that each month, logos should send all LN members an email stating that there is a list of books where one can be purchased for free, but to get it for free, they ought to have a coupon code. This will distinguish between free books that are offered once in a while from the free LN offers.

I agree with your concerns but there are problems with emailing a coupon code too.
1) Delivery of emails is inconsistent. Myself and many others have complained about not getting emails sent to Logos Now members or other mailing lists - birthday gift coupons as an example.
2) coupons can be shared - let's face it none of us perfect, anyone around here who claims they are is basing their salvation upon something else than God's grace and making themselves subject to the law.
Both of these problems are avoided under the current system, which while floored I prefer to not getting an email with my coupon code and having to chase someone at FL for it.
I would expect if you put multiple items in your cart only 1 will actually show up free and the total of the rest of your items will show in the cart before you finalise the transaction but have not tried that yet. If the final price shows up as zero dollars after adding 10 of these to the cart then that is the price you and FL are contracting to and you should not then later get a big bill. The onus is on FL to show you the correct final price before the transaction is completed.
What could be done to better improve the current process is rather than showing the red sale banner on these items is a different one that show's the item is part of Logos Now 1 free per month offer.
Part of the problem will be the limitations of the current web site itself as to how they can present the offer to us. I think despite the limitations and potential issues highlighted here FL has done a good job to get this up and running. I would really dislike seeing this going to a manually driven coupon email out every month that requires potentially lots of customers contacting FL each month saying where is my coupon code. The offer is clear you only get one free book but I grant initially until everyone is aware of and knows the condirions the offer it may cause some people confusion with every book showing up as free

I have not selected my free book for the month yet so I was able to test it out and if someone adds all these to their cart it is very clear only one is free and what their final bill will be before they pay. I agree with both you Alabama and Mark that with all resources showing as free initially it could cause confusion for someone not understanding the offer, but for me as I've said in another post I prefer this approach. Email's with Coupon codes don't always get to eligible customers.
When you add multiple items from the list to your cart the most expensive item is the one you receive as free and you pay for the rest of them. I added these in the order shown on the left and the most expensive resource wat the one the shopping cart selected as the free one so everything is behaving as I would expect.
