Is it possible to search for example for וַיֹּאמַר and exclude וַיֹּאמֶר?
I'm not certain exactly what you want or what Hebrew bible, but:
Does this help?
Dave, this is great. I keep being marveled at the easy you find so many solutions in Logos as if you've written the software and search logic yourself.
[:D]
Do you also happen to know whether Logos can search for vowel patterns? In other words search for vowels by leaving out the consonants?

I don't know Hebrew, so I'll provide an examples for English:
?a?e ---> one letter followed by vowel 'a' followed by one letter and then the vowel 'e' e.g. face, have, came, make
?a??e ---> as above but with two letters between 'a' and 'e' e.g. table, false, large
There is no guarantee that the wildcard letter ? will always be a consonant, though. Regular Expressions are needed for complex patterns.
I can't guarantee it will work for Hebrew.
So, in Hebrew all the big letters are consonants, while most of the dots and lines around those consonants are vowels. In Logos you can search for the consonants of a word and it will give you the vowels with it. I would like to do the opposite: search for the vowels (the marks) and Logos will give me the consonants with it.

There's a UserVoice suggestion for this feature request: https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-7/suggestions/7592991-search-for-hebrew-vowel-points-cantillation-marks
Thanks for pointing this out!
