Titles for Notes and Clippings

Maybe I am missing something, but when I am reading and making notes, I like to file whatever I read or want to comment on, under an appropriate title.
For instance, if I start reading Romans 8, I want everything to be filed under the heading Romans 8.
However, in my full program computer, I find it tedious. I must go into documents and open up a new heading or find an old heading and press on it. Then when I go to either copy a clipping or make a note, the heading will now appear as a note or clipping option.
It is far easier on my iPad, where I can easily change the tile for any new note.
In my computer program, I have to keep going back to Documents and reopen a new note or clipping under a new or older topic.
Thanks

Exactly my challenge:
i just opened 1 Peter, and wanted to scribble some notes. When I opened the right click boxes, the possible heading for notes listed my old headings.
So, in the midst of wanting to,write down my thoughts, I have to close the box, go to Documents and open a new note or find an old appropriate heading.
I want to store all my notes under the right headings.
What does anyone else do?

I agree that easier access to earlier note files or being able to create on on the fly are needed additions to the interface. What I'd like is for the software to be smart enough to know that when I open 1 Peter that I have a note file already named 1 Peter Notes and to give me the option through the right click menu to add a note to that file. If I don't have an existing file, the right click menu should give me the option to create a new notes file. The same goes for clippings.
FL is doing an overhaul of notes and highlighting so we may see a new way to add notes and find them without the need for lots of separate files. We'll have to see. Right now the only way to do what you want is the multi-step route you now use.

- While reading 1 Peter, open the Notes document for 1 Peter.
- Click LAYOUTS in the upper right corner of the screen.
- In the dialog, rename the current setup as 1 Peter.
- Save the named layout.
Next time you want to read in 1 Peter, open the named layout and you're all set.
