Any Hurricane Specials for us Floridians before Irma hits Florida?
If not, your prayers will be fine 👍😁👌

From a Houstonian in the middle of clean-up, you have the prayers!
Thanks Justin! May God's providence continue to be with you as you recover from this. My prayers are with you too! 🙏
Well, since Andrews wiped pretty clean an Air Force base, I wouldn't worry too much about Logos (the software).
If you are in need of a dry place come visit Kyrgyz, never any hurricane problems here.
Discount on Genesis 6-9 commentaries for the survivors?
And I'll pray for you guys, though I suspect this event might be an act of judgement..
Thanks for the prayers! The hurricane has shifted, so it seems we won't get hit as hard. Pray for those on the west side of Florida and Georgia. It may not hit as hard either but it's going in their direction 🙏
Tampa Bay Area here we are getting ready looks like we may get slammed a little.
...I suspect this event might be an act of judgement..
More like an act of mother nature which happens every now and then.
Don't be like that pastor that said Louisiana got flooded to bring judgment against gays and then when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston recently his house was the one that got flooded all the way to the ceiling! Haha 😂 Maybe he has a confession to make 😁
It is Not good to speculate Jan.
Blessings!
Yes, I've heard about that pastor. Quite ironic. I didn't want to be hypocritical though.
However, it might make a difference the way we should/could pray about such phenomenons. Jesus instructed us not to be surprised by such events. Ascribing them to "mother nature" is speculation as well.
Anyway, I don't want to kick off a discussion that rather belongs on christiandiscourse.com.
Now, Jan. You weren't accidentally typing. And correlating flooded precincts with red ones, or Irma jumping past blue ones to get to the red ones is a theological disaster (ignoring common sense).
Jan, it's interesting that what Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 (right before he said "take heed that you are not deceived and see that you are not troubled") does not include hurricanes, tornadoes and tsunamis. The only events he mentioned there were: wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilence and earthquakes and all those things must come to pass. In other words, they've been happening since Jesus died but the end is not yet. Again, do not be deceived by speculations, when judgment comes it will not be through those events. Unless, of course, you are a futurist and in that case there's not much I can do for you by starting a theological discussion anywhere. 😁 Still, is not good to pass judgment based on speculation. 😜

I agree.
