I bought the Tyndale set of of Commentaries is it possible to move the whole set into the prioritise list without moving each individual book?
I actually would like them 3rd on my list of commentaries

curosr over the picture in the library, right click: Should come up with option to priortize this resource or prioritize this series. if you "prioritize this series", the whole set goes in.

There was some inconsistent Metadata in the Tyndale commentaries, I don't think all of them were associated as a series. Try right clicking on another volume. I thought they were supposed to have fixed the metadata, I don't recall because I didn't buy them and the problems weren't affecting me. Or perhaps there's an issue with the Alpha in this regard...
Mike, turn on the Series column in your Library if it isn't already. (You have to be in grid view first, where you see multiple columns. Click the View button to switch views if you're not. Then right-click on any of the column headers and click Series to turn on its checkmark.)
Now see what (if anything) it says in the Series column for your Tyndale commentaries. It should say "Tyndale Commentaries" for all of them. If it doesn't, then you haven't gotten the update with the corrected metadata, which would explain why you're not able to prioritize the whole series. You should have gotten the update (as a download) automatically by now, but if not, then type "update now."
If the Series metadata is correct, then I'm guessing Kevin's right -- are you using the Mac Alpha? It might not have this functionality implemented yet.
Otherwise, something else strange must be going on, and I have no idea what that could be.

I am indeed using the Mac Alpha and I think you may be right about it not having this functionality yet.
There is a 'Tile' view but no grid view and there is no Series column to be seen.
I guess I will have to go all the way down to the bottom of the list and find them when I need them.
Should have been renamed Atinedale that way I would have so far to go :-)

You can type Tyndale into the search box at the top of the library to bring up all resources with Tyndale in the title etc. This would help.

Mike - when you order the Tyndale for Mac - did you get a MAC Installation Disk or was it the Windows XP Disk? I just ordered the same set and was shipped the Windows XP Installation Disk. I was able to get it installed (kinda) by brute force. I'm concerned that it wasn't a clean install. If there is a MAC specific installation disk - I would need to contact Logos to re-send me the correct disk. Just wanted to check with you to see which one was shipped to you.

Well, This is confusing [:P]
I received an Xp installation disk, but there are two options for adding the resources to your L4 Mac library.
1) insert the disk sent you and type scan optical media into the command bar (next to search button)
2) Turn on internet usage (Set download automatic updates to yes) and type update resources. Note that no pop up shows up to tell you what the program is doing. Wait a few minutes and the indexer icon should show up near the clock.

Mike - are you sure you are talking about the Mac implementation L4 A13a? The Commands Summary says that the Scan Command is not functional in Mac version. When I enter the command - it doesn't show up in the command summary. You did what you described on a Mac??? Wonder we are getting two different results? If you look at the directory of the XP install disk - there is nothing in it that the Mac would recognize - apart from the Folder where the actual books reside. I too am still confused - thanks for your input - still struggling thru. I waited 30 minutes on hold today to speak with Customer Support - my Verizon Bill is taking a hit.
Using 13a. Wiki page is mostly for PC users and is out of date as regards Mac.
Here is a screenshot of what the command bar looks like after I enter the command. Wait for this drop down window to appear and select the appropriate command.
However, I received my Tyndale commentaries thru automatic update. Update Resources may be your best shot at getting the books in your library. However, if you have 1.2.2 (the previous gen of the Mac engine) you can install and activate the licenses for the Tyndale set there and L4 should detect and transfer the resources over.
Mike - I think we are still missing something critical - because the XP Disk is formatted to run the setup.exe - there is a different Directory/Folder structure on the disk itself - one not easily recognizable by the MAC OS - i.e. when I run the Libronix 1.2.2 engine and do the Resource Installer - it reads the disk - doesn't find a folder that it would normally find and therefore doesn't show any resources that need to be installed - it doesn't see the sub-folders on the disk where the resources reside. I tried tricking it out and created a separate disk with just the folders where the resources live and the resource installer still couldn't detect any such resources. I'm kinda stuck at this point - not sure how to proceed - unless I can happen to hit customer support at the right time.

I just did this last night. bought a small nelson library. i did try "scan media" (not "scan optical media"), i read elsewhere the wiki is out of date for mac and a few builds ago (12 maybe) the scan media was working. even though the xp disk has a .exe file the books resources files are still on there and they are still accessed by both mac and pc. needless to say, the scan media didn't do anything.
i used logos 1.2.2 and synced licenses. turned on l4 and it worked updated and added the resources (12 i think).
another option is calling logos and unlocking the resources via phone support. they will not support the mac beta build, but they can unlock resources for you and add them to your account. when you start l4 on mac you may need to type "update resources" and it will download them for you.

I was able to get the Commentary to work by manually copying all the Resources to the appropriate Resource Directory as indicated in the Resource Path definition - I did have to re-index for all of the books to be searchable - my only concern is - there are 20-30 sub-folders with files that I can't readily identify that may need to be copied to my Mac drive in addition to the actual resource files themselves. I'm just not sure if there is a hidden glitch that I will bump into by not actually doing a legitimate install. There is little documentation as to the recommended process - so I'm flying by the seat of my pants so to speak. It does seem to work - all of the books show up in my library - they are searchable - I'm just a stickler for doing things the standard/recommended way - as to avoid problems down the road.

Prioritizing sets of commentaries does not seem to be implemented in the Mac Alpha 13a.
However, if you also have a Windows installation of Logos4, you can do it there and it will be synchronized to your Mac version.

I think that the disc is universal. I installed mine by installing it into 1.2.2 and then getting A12 to 'update resources via the command bar.
I had some problems doing this and had to delete a file in the resources folder to get it going but it worked in the end.

Binks - that is my question - how did you get 1.2.2 to recognize the disk - when you insert it - the disk spins up - it can't seem to get past the fact that it's a XP style disk (albeit there are Folders that a MAC can recognize) 1.2.2 comes up with the Resource Installer screen - says there are no resources to install because it can't find them on the disk. What did you do in 1.2.2 to have it find the contents of the disk? You would normally expect a .dmg file that the MAC would recognize - then mount the disk then it would be off and running.
Strawn--synchronize your licenses first from the tools menu. The books don't show up because libronix thinks they are not unlocked for your account.

Maybe I am missing what you are saying, so please pardon anything that sounds assuming or redundant to what has been said. The Windows version of 3 automatically discovered resources. I don't think the Mac ever did. That being said, have use used the installer built in to 1.2.2? In 1.2.2 there is an "install resources" (I am not at my Mac right now) under Tools menu. It should recognize the disc with no problem. It will probably ask for a serial number. That has been how I have installed resources.
Once you have it installed on 1.2.2 select Synchronize Licenses. Start up L4 Mac and type Update Resources (don't hit enter) and select it from the drop down under Tools.
Is that the process you have tried?
