No "Highlighting" option under Tools?

While using the online cloud version of the Logos app, I can highlight text, but I cannot find a way to review all text that I have highlighted. There is no "highlighting" option under Tools. I am using Logos 7 on a Windows laptop.

Highlighting is a standard feature and should be in the Tools menu. What version of Logos e.g. v7.9? What version of Windows?

However, it is not the way to review the text you have highlighted:-

    • look in the resource(s) you have highlighted
    • look in Notes in the Documents menu and open the documents that are listed
    • other methods, but clarify what you expect from a "review".

I think Carrie is doing this in the web app

    But I'm not sure, Graham

Yeah. I'm in the web app. It's just not working well for me. A lot of the tools available to me on my desktop are not available to me if I log in online from a public or friend's computer.

I'm looking online, using Windows 8 and Google Chrome.

Even though I can highlight text in the web app, it does not stay highlighted.

Your suggestion to look under Notes, in the Documents menu did help me find passages I have highlighted when using the desktop app on my own personal computer though. That is what I meant by "review".

Webapp is nowhwere near on par with desktop app and beware currently any notes or highlights you create in webapp will not be accessible in desktop or mobile apps. Webapp is a beta platform and is being used to develop a new notes and highlights platform that will eventually roll over to other platforms progressively.

When they rolled out webapp to a wider audience they did not make it clear what they were really wanting was more people to beta test a platform that is still immature and not on par with the desktop apps.

Bummer. Thank you so much for the reply though. This is something I VERY much look forward to in the future. I am new to using Logos and so far love it, but am slightly uneasy with the idea of needing my personal device with me in order to access all the hard work I want to put into note taking, highlighting, etcetera.

What if I am somewhere without my device and want to share an inspiring note with someone? What happens if I my device is lost, stolen, or breaks?

You can actually view your notes in a read-only fashion at https://documents.logos.com

If your device is lost/stolen/breaks, and you had been running in online mode, then all of your user-created content (including notes) have been synced up to Faithlife's servers. You will be able to install Logos again on a new machine, and all of your content will be downloaded for your use again.
