Reading Plan Indicators Not Showing in Book

Using 5.17.1 on iOS 11 there are not reading plan indicators when I open the book from the Home Page link in my Reading Plans list. I see not beginning reading indicator or completed reading link to tap to show I’ve finished the reading plan. This is on the resource Look at the Books.
