Having two chunks of Bible verses in one bible slide.
I'd like to read Acts 1:1-2 and then 2:1-3.
Intuitively, I'd like to type Acts 1:1-2; 2:1-3 in Bible in "Add Item".
But, I in fact have to make two Bible slides, and type 1:1-2 and 2:1-3 in respective slides.
Could you make it possible to have two separate chunks of Bible in one slide?

Hey Neulsaem! We can certainly make this possible, and actually already have a plan for it! You can look forward to this existing in a future update.
I checked through our UserVoice to see if we had any similar entries to help with following the suggestion, but it doesn't look like we have one. Feel free to add it there as well.

There's a second-class workaround for this right now. It's not a great solution but here's what I do. Let's say I want Acts 1:1-2,5-6, i.e., verses 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Acts 1.
Create a Bible slide with Acts 1:1-6. In the body of the text, remove verses 3 and 4. Reformat the remainder as you want. There's a way to insert a blank line without causing a new slide, so I would normally do that to show there are two passages on the same slide.
The downside to this is that you can't edit the reference, which will still display "Acts 1:1-6" even though some verses are missing.

One more option is to use On-Screen-Bible that enables you to have more then one reference.

I know this is old, but this just came up for us yesterday. We wanted Psalm 27:1, 13-14.
It did not work. Not with a comma or semicolon. Gave red box.
So we just omitted the reference.
Any progress on this or workarounds?
(I see the workaround suggested above of using OSB. That breaks it up into two separate scripture references, right? Psalm 27:1, then on the next slide, Psalm 27:13-14. Is there anyway to have the reference read "Psalm 27:1,13-14"? Also is there anyway to get OSB with the background of the rest of the slides of the presentation, say, if we have a theme throughout?)

Hello John,
At the moment, breaking up the verses is the only way to enter them in. You can always use the Enter key to enter an additional separate verse within the same OSB slide, and the appropriate verse number will be displayed with it.
There is no ability to customize the OSB aside from the already available styles and colors, however you could look into creating media templates for the other Bible slide to have consistent themed slides

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but this just came up for my church too, so still something I think would be great for churches in 2021. Using the OSB for this doesn't work well in the world of lower-thirds overlays for streaming, so it's something that would really best be addressed in the Bible item!

One workaround that is pretty quick if you are using the Sermon Editor to create your teachings and sermons, is to insert your scriptures (like John 10:7-9, for example) into the document. If you only wanted verse 7 and 9, you could do the following:
- Click on the slide and choose Edit. It will open up a Media tab where you can edit the slide
- In the Body Text box, remove verse 8 by highlighting and hitting Delete
- Adjust the Reference box to read John 10:7, 9 instead of John 10:7-9
- Then click on 'Update sermon' or 'Send to' if you want to directly insert it into Proclaim
Not the ideal solution, but it works well for me.
