I am new to the software but I don't see a way to either lock a panel so if I am reading bible in left panel I can leave that where it is and lookup different resources in right panel only. Current behavior changes my bible reading panel and if I have done different searches in that same panel I can't get back to my bible unless I back out and tap on the library

    Welcome, Lance.

There is a short video on the Support Page titled "How to use Linked Panels".  It shows the iPhone in the video but should work for you iPad.  Let's see if that helps.

    Thanks Steve

I have already checked out the navigation videos, don't believe linked panels solves this issue. Linked panels basically 'moves' one panel with the other I am looking for almost the opposite of this and unlinking them doesn't do the trick either, from the description I thought it would but it does not.

    Hi Lance

I think I understand what you are alluding to.

if I have done different searches in that same panel I can't get back to my bible unless I back out and tap on the library

What you can do is tap and hold the "history" button and that gives you the option to go back to a particular place you want to recover. This might help with what you are seeing.

The good news is that the next major release - currently in beta testing - introduces the idea of multiple panels (sometimes called tabs and sometimes workspace) where new resources, guides, search results etc are opened in separate panels so you don't lose your place in the Bible (or other resource) you are reading. So that is a more complete solution to the issue you are describing but we don't know yet when that will be available for general release.

    Thanks Graham

That is helpful and will save me some time, also good to know that the fix is already in beta

Sorry I missed the target for you Lance.  I may still be off, but let me try again:

    1.  Once you have the split screen up (bible on the left, something else on the right)

    2.  You can tap and hold the bubble on the bottom and turn off Link Panels

    3.  Tap on the right side of the split screen to make that active

    4.  Tap on the menu icon on the top left corner

    5.  Open your library and pick any resource you want

    6.  It will open on the right side and you can navigate it as needed

    7.  Your bible will stay where you leave it on the left side

Is that helpful?  Or still off?

That gets me part of the way their but better than where I was, so before I must not have had that right side active. So your solution works for a single selection, but if I have say the Bible Word study on the right and want to tap a link in there when I tap it pops it up on the left where my bible is. I would like it just to stay on the same panel
