Large Galaxie Journal resource update (17 Feb 2010)
To correct problems with downloading Galaxie journals (http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_Various_issues_with_downloading_of_Galaxie_files), we're publishing the latest copies of all Galaxie resources from ftp.bible.org. These files correct mismatched internal resource IDs, which could cause a download loop if the latest files were installed for LDLS3 from a TJL CD.
The maximum download size (if you own all Galaxie journals, and all your files are missing or out-of-date) is 1.35GB. Approximately 700 files are being published.

I'm not sure what any of that means, but I've got a download of almost 800 MB taking place as I type.
Does this mean that I can erase Logos 3 from my computer to free up space? Or do I still need it to load resources like the Galaxie Journals?
Bradley, I was looking to add 11 and 12 of the Journals, but was surprised that it wasn't downloadable from Logos... is that correct? Guess I'm spoiled with L4, but tell me there is a way to buy and download! Please.
As far as I know, these products need to be purchased at the Galaxie store or at Logos.com. They will be shipped on CD; when it arrives, it can be installed into LDLS3. Once the product is activated in LDLS3, the licenses will be available to Logos 4, and it will download them automatically. (If you don't want to install LDLS3, you can call our Customer Support when the disc arrives and have them activate the serial number directly on your account.)

It can be useful to keep LDLS3 installed so that you can activate serial numbers using it. (The program itself is fairly small, about 50MB. If you're not using it, you can leave it installed, but wipe the "Resources" folder to save disk space.)
Alternatively, when you buy a product with a LDLS3 serial number, you can call Logos Customer Support and have them activate the serial number directly on your account without needing to install LDLS3.

Is there an estimate on how long it will take to get everything working from within L4? I tried reinstalling L3 and had problems so I ended up calling.

Thanks! I was not aware of either of these options?.
Enagle logging by holding down the "ctrl" key when starting. Select "blank layout" in the option box. Then post your log files, so they can be examined, and a solution may be available.http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_Not_StartingSince the update Logos 4 crashes every time I try to go to the Home screen! Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?
