I used to get an email before a pre-pub would ship. The last two times I didn't get one. This one was only $24.95 so no big deal, but the previous one was for hundreds of dollars and it really hit my bank account. I don't like this change in practice and I will not do anymore pre-pubs unless Logos changes this policy back to sending out a warning before. It should be at least a day. I'm sure they quit because people would get the email and then cancel just before it shipped. But in my case it caused a real hardship because the refund doesn't go through to your bank for a few days and it left me kind of strapped for cash that week.
I still get them.
I am getting notification emails about 2 weeks before prepubs ship.
Do you get those at all?
No haven't gotten them the last few times. First emila I get says, "We've charged your card"
I'm very sorry for this. We haven't changed our policy or practice. Let me look into why you aren't receiving them.
You are not alone, I no longer get them either.
When I first saw this post, I thought "I haven't had that problem."
Then I received an email from FL yesterday that my pre-pub order of the Lexham Bible Guide on Jonah had been charged to my credit card.
I knew that I couldn't remember receiving an email prior notice. I reviewed my emails from the last month and did not find the usual notice.
Something must be amiss in the FL pre-pub notification system now.
UPDATE:
I just noticed the thread about this title being billed yesterday, even though it will not release until 11/14. Major mistake by FL.
