Dropping Reference from Copy and Paste
Recently, either when I upgraded the iOS or the in the App store, I lost the ability to copy and paste and retain the reference with the copied material. I emailed FL and they said it might have been due to a dropped connection at times but that they hadn't changed anything.... This was essentially useless.
The reference would be the "Https://ref.ly...." link at the end of the copied material. (Can I say I hate that too, but let's not get off track)
I'm running IOS 11.1.2 on my iPhone SE, and 11.1.1 on my ipad 2017 9.4". I've experienced this only recently - a week or two - and I get it in the FL Study Bible, Logos Bible and the beta LogosNext apps.
I have never been able to retain the reference when I simply 1. Choose/Block the text and choose copy. Rather, what I've had to do is to 1. Block the text, 2. Choose Share, then 3. Choose copy from that menu. It's always worked that way. Now, the process has gotten considerably more cumbersome. 1. Block the text, 2. Choose Share, 3. Choose Message (as in text message), 4. select/block the text in the text message, 5. choose Copy, 6. Cancel the text message, 7. Paste it where I want it and then continue on as "normal."
I'd really not want to go back to using the YouVersion for cut and paste (shudder) and want to stay in my beloved Logos apps.....
So, my questions are:
1. Is anyone else recently experiencing this?
2. Is there a setting in the app that changes this?
3. Any other ideas? This is getting annoying when I'm trying to paste a scripture reference into my sermon out line in Word, or into my journal every morning.

It’s all such a pain. Most free apps copy and paste with bibles references, I don’t understand why such an involved app can’t do it. Boggles the mind. Have been requesting the feature for years.

Well mine used to do it up until a few weeks ago. However the reference was always in the form of a ref.ly url page.... Which wasn't always helpful when sending people to go read something. They can't always ready without an account - depending on the book.....
