After waiting patiently after the Master Journal Bundle 2.1+ came out - not a lot has happened.
Where was the frequent release programme we were expecting.
Shalom
Hi, Phil, as a retired biblical scholar I am fortunate to still have honorary research fellow status at my institution so have online access to all the academic journals I need. But I realise that this is not the case for many of your users who would love to access journal articles referenced in commentaries, monographs, etc. Whilst I suspect it will prove impossible to obtain licences to incorporate many of these into the Logos platform I do wonder whether, as has already been mentioned, Faithlife could pursue having academic institutional status so that, for a subscription, users could have access to the appropriate academic portals where Faithlife becomes a named institution allowing access to CBQ, JBL (all volumes), JSNT, JSOT, NTS, etc.?
At long last, here are new journal bundles:
Thanks Ben. I just pre-ordered the Master Journal Bundle 3.1.
Looking forward to it getting into production soon.
Dreaming of BAR update for use in Faithlife applications and apps
I join you in such a dream! [Y]
Journal of Theological Studies 2013???
Thanks! Pre-ordered.
please consider making smaller journal bundles for those of us not yet in the market. Any recommendations on what you'd like to see? How would you suggest we group them?

Also, especially with journals, but often I find there are so many citations not hyperlinked in the resources I do already own and it makes it rather hard to then manually determine which resources are actually in Logos and if they are then hard to find actual the citation. If footnotes are not used, then even more so when in line references are made. This really makes the Logos experience rather unappealing.
Why are so many not hyperlinked in many resources I own? I spent a decent amount of time using the report typo option to alert FL of this, but I feel like it doesn't do much as there is not much feedback ever happening. That takes a lot of effort to report them. I guess they have someone checking these out when they have free time every once in a while. It seems to me this would be a full time job for a team to do. I guess it is a case of finances and ability to have personnel tasked to which priorities. Another thing along these lines is owning a future edition of an older resource often cited. Then most likely it is not even on same page as previous edition. That is more "nature of the beast" sort of thing, I suppose.
I was told that the typos reported aren't looked at until a certain number are received for a certain resource. What that magical quota is I don't know. But it defeats the purpose of you ask me
Newer volumes of HTR??????
JESOT is still only up to 2015 in latest update and free online????? Why so slow?????
Master Bundle 3.1 only will have volume 4 when online is up to 5 2.
We plan to put them into production very soon. We're likely going to treat these products as pre-orders (where we don't wait for 100% funding) rather than Pre-Pubs (where we do).
Any updates on this, because I cannot tell if it is a pre-pub or pre-order. There seems to be no distinctions on our end when looking at it. All I can see is it is not yet reached 100% funding yet. Doesn't seem all that close either.Maybe you are all on holiday and we have to wait until January to hear something solid? The thread has been silent lately. Just a guess! Please continue to enjoy your holidays! God Bless! Thanks for all you are able to do in the meantime.

Ken, I'm not sure what the answer is on this one. We may not have files or a license. I'll check.

We put these into production last week, but didn't update the statuses yet. We're doing that now to reflect that they are in development.
We don't have a ship date yet, but we'll let you know when we have a good estimate. I'm guessing/hoping for 2–3 months.

This is very good news Phil! I hope that your timetable is accurate.
Any recommendations on what you'd like to see?
Here's what's been left unanswered here that I can see in the most recent discussion:
How about an update on JETS? I understood this from previous comments from FL staff that this would be resolved BEFORE or during ETS 2017. Still no word. Everyone seems to be in agreement here, this is a priority. While most in FL remain silent on the issue, we know you are trying your best.
How about the following? Any points here to the current discussion in the thread?
NTS?????????????
HTR was not updated in 3.1 and only has older editions while many others are ironically the opposite and do not like JBL offer the older ones.
JSNT
Journal of Theological Studies
BAR
CBQ
Something just occurred to me... If access to VT, NT, HTR, HUCA, CBQ, STJ, Interpretation, and other scholarly journals is just never going to happen in Logos, is it possible that FL could establish itself as an entity through which we can access these journals online through established channels?

Something better than the older models, and yet they at least gave access that we currently do not have at all???
OR
Is it possible for FL via Mobile Ed to offer accredited courses towards degrees and then get access to journals by offering subscriptions/plans/packages that gives access to both journals and courses as an accredited academic program, so no matter where one is in the world they can get access and accreditation in the post-modern technological age we are in?
True...but they are also making a lot of money.
Point is from a business perspective if you pay a lot-you expect a lot-and yes some of us has paid a lot.

This journal is already in LOGOS.
Yes as noted in my post some of these are available in Logos and I even own them while some are not and may possibly be available as they are free online. However, all are available to anyone without a Logos purchase regardless.
If Logos has some of those in the above list, why not consider the others? JESOT is also available in Logos; hence my post and my point.
Again, 6 weeks have passed with no more communication from Logos. Many answers still go unresolved. I just reupped my Galaxie subscription. Another $50 I could have invested in Logos....
The 3.1 journal bundles should ship in early March. We plan to post the 4.1 collections a week or two after that.
We continue to explore licensing opportunities. Nothing to report on that front at this time.
Anything else we can answer?
Very good news Phil - looking forward to both (3.1 and 4.1)

Any news on JETS?
Phil any updates on the shipping of 3.1 journals or getting JETS back?

We're coming close to the end of production. The current plan (and please don't take this as a 100% guarantee) is sometime in March. You should see a ship date up soon.
I see this entire thread as a reason to loose faith in Logos. Marketed primarily to academians and pastor-scholars, I can't imagine why there is NOT a firm release date and the most CURRENT issues, of ALL the journals in Logos. Perhaps more money should be invested here vs FaithlifeTV and the like.
Phil any updates on . . . getting JETS back?
It looks highly likely that we'll be getting JETS and the other Galaxie journals back in the near future. We're working out the final details and should have an announcement in the coming weeks. It's not finalized yet, but looks very promising.

That is good news! I suppose jets won't make it into any of the 3.1 bundles though?

It won't. It'll be part of another collection, but it'll have dynamic pricing enabled.
