New Indexer Crash - Beta 11

I got a new resource sent to me today, downloaded it, it indexed fine, and then I started a merge index. It crashed about 15-20 minutes into it.  I have done a reindex recently so it's not an old file. File attached...

    There's a bug in index merging that sometimes corrupts the index.  Until the fix is released (hopefully soon) the only cure is to rebuild the index.

    Peter,

    If the merge feature cannot work with certainty in 4.0b then I would request it be removed as an option for the Indexer and also consider removing it from the Command list!

    REASON: it has never worked from its introduction and causes more problems than it is worth in terms of potential time saving over a rebuild.
