"Could not copy files to SD card" error.

This error came up a few years ago, and is striking again. I'm running Android 7.1.2 on a clean install with a healthy SD card, and getting this error. Faithlife Bible app does the same. Works on my other devices, and worked on this prior to doing a factory reset on Android. Started on beta, uninstalled and used the non-beta. Issue remains. Any advice is appreciated.

More information:. This happens on the Logos, Faithlife Bible and Verbum apps. It starts, says "initializing," then gives the SD error and closes.

Update: I noticed issues with other apps too. Flashed a new ROM and it fixed the problems I was having. Looks like it probably wasn't the app.
