Bug Stuttering display

In an attempt to replicate another's problems i reproduced one of my own.

Sometimes I find the scrolling in a Bible - even in a one panel window to be uncontrollable.

It is unresponsive to scrolling gestures from the track pad and jumps in fits and starts in both directions.

I have noticed similar actions when scrolling with a mouse. It is difficult to put the desired verse at the top of the screen as the display will sometimes jump up 3 or 4 verses instead of a single one.

I wonder if it is the 5K resolution Logos isn't handling well. I have essentially the same hardware for my Win10 desktop, only 2560x1080 display.

Curious about visual filters ?

Sometimes I find the scrolling in a Bible - even in a one panel window to be uncontrollable.

Sometimes can replicate scrolling quirkiness in 7.12 Beta 3 using trackpad on 2011 MacBook Air with Intel HD Graphics 3000 (seems changing chapters can have a bit of delay).

Trying to scroll while visual filter searching is happening replicates stuttering (dreaming of option to open Bible resource with visual filters disabled). Scrolling Bible with many visual filters enabled can stutter.

None in operation during the problem - It has happened when I have turned off Propositional Outlines.

Sometimes can replicate scrolling quirkiness in 7.12 Beta 3 using trackpad on 2011 MacBook Air with Intel HD Graphics 3000 (seems changing chapters can have a bit of delay).

In the case that I sampled the process for the 'jerkiness' was continuous.

The problem is intermittent so I am hoping thet the logs on my original post might throw some light on the problem.

Thank you for the report. Your sample indicates a performance issue rendering (what is likely) a visual filter icon. I was able to reproduce similar performance issues with the Addressee labels visual filter on higher resolution displays (on macOS). Can you confirm which filters you have active, if any?

Hi Matt

I have indeed got 'Speaker Labels' and 'Addressee Labels' set along with four note files.

The problem isn't constant but it is recurring often in various degrees of seriousness ranging from slight lag to (seemingly) uncontrollable jerks.

Good news that you may have tracked it down. I will try turning off those filters when it happens again and let you know the results.

Well thanks Philana – looking good so far.

The problem was always intermittent and only occurred at inconvenient times. :-(

I hope the fix sticks and will monitor the situation.

Only affects my higher resolution display (even after this latest update).
