Drawing mode (F8)

Ok, I give. Who uses this, and how???

Once I was bored and colored the whole screen red... I know it was very sad [^o)] (actually I did it partly to baffle my wife).
If I were teaching with my computer connected to a projector I might use it.

I teach using a projector. Drawing mode has been handy with maps (recently, the battle of Michmash - pointing out locations and battle lines), a few times with diagrams/charts (pointing out key sections) and rarely with text (drawing lines connecting related or key words). Not the top feature by any means, but nice to have it.
It has a problem, though, with expanded screen (different display on projector than laptop screen) - it doesn't draw on a floating window on the projector screen.

I wonder if that's a video driver thing. I have a laptop with an external screen that I use side-by-side with the laptop's screen, and the drawing mode allows me to draw on both screens without a problem.
