Adrian Rogers Supplemental Material

Please, let’s try to get on board with this one: https://www.logos.com/product/149904/adrian-rogers-supplemental-sermon-archive
IMHO Rogers is a better expositor than Keller, Laurie and Chandler. I like the way he used to organize his sermons in such a way that they are easy to follow. Laurie is more acceptable in his style. Matt and Keller are too chit chatty for my taste; especially, Chandler. I’m not too fond of his, “Yeah man, I’m telling you.” Or “You know man” and man here and there, etc. Also too many stories and very little actual exposition.
But Anyway, I hope this one makes it. It’s kind of hard not to feel a little cheated by paying extra for this material, but I think it’s worth it.

I already have this in Wordsearch, but bought the sermon archive in Logos for the sake of eliminating WS from my life. Grudgingly, I am paying for this other content I already own.
Using Logos as a pastor, seminary professor, and Tyndale author

You’re not going to keep the archives you ordered?

I may keep Greg Laurie. I’ve read about 10 manuscripts from each (Keller, Laurie and Chandler), and they’re not organized like I thought they would be. That makes it hard to follow along. At least Laurie gives you points and subpoints, but you still have to read and highlight to catch them. It’s a little disappointing because Keller, Laurie and Chandler are not cheap, even with the discount). Adrian Rogers is not that cheap either, but is more polished outline/organization wise. That to me is priceless!
👍😁👌

PS. I wish we had samples from Tony Evans and Skip. I’d like to see those out of prepub this year.

While Adrian Rogers has highly organized outlines, there's no way anyone could even begin to preach like him, or at least me. His sermons are complex, with too many points and subpoints. But the zinger phrases, now that's pure gold!

After spending a weekend reading several manuscripts from all three guys (Keller, Chandler and Laurie), I decided to return them amd not waste my time on them. I was asked the reason why I was returning them (if I didn’t mind sharing) and I told them they’re not tagged appropriately and professionally like Adrian Rogers’s sermon archive.
I’m glad I returned them. Too expensive for the personal book style they offer. I’d rather use that money for Logos 8.

Well, at least Logos has a good return policy. Sorry that it did not work out for you.DAL said:Keith Pang said:You’re not going to keep the archives you ordered?

Yes they do! They have a good return policy; so does WordSearch (60 Days WS). Not having a nice organized outline is what made me return Adrian Rogers to Wordsearch too. Since Logos provided a more polished and professional tagging I purchased Adrian Rogers from Logos. I'm surprised they did a sloppy job with Keller, Chandler and Laurie. But oh well, now I'm looking forward to Logos 8 hehe

I bought Roger's sermon archive also. Been following your posts so decided to go check him out on YouTube. Man, what power and depth, he was truely blessed with a gift of understanding and delivery of the Word like nobody I have ever heard before. Now I have his podcasts, YouTube videos and I'm reading through his sermons. Thank you!

I’m glad you’re being benefited from his preaching. I know preaching styles vary, but Adrian Rogers was on a class of his own! I’m constantly learning from his preaching and molding my own.
