Whenever I open up a passage Logos searches and displays all the resources in my library, which takes a lot of time. Is there a way to "turn off" certain resources that I won't be using very often, in order to speed up the program?
How are you opening up the passage?
I just type it into the passage guide section, and it goes through all the material. But there are some commentaries and resources that I really don't use, and i wanted to be able to turn them off so that every time I search a different passage I don't have to wait for logos to keep searching every resource.
You can customize the passage guide. Open the Passage Guide and click on the small arrow on the Passage Guide tab. This will open the menu, where you will see 'Edit Guide Template.' Click on that.
You will now see:
Listed are all the parts of the normal Passage Guide. You can click on the 'X' next to a feature to have it removed from your guide.
If you want to search fewer commentaries, create a collection of those you want to search and then specify that collection in the commentaries section.
Rename this 'My Passage Guide' and close it. From the Guide menu, select 'My Passage Guide' to use this new slimmed down passage guide.
