Footnotes / Bible verse references now take a while to load

Previously, whenever I select a bible verse / footnote, they show up (as a popup) almost instantaneously. Now (currently using 6.1.1.0054 on iOS), they take up to 2 seconds (!) to load.

Is this because they are no longer preloaded together with the main body of text?

By the way, for what it's worth, the books in question - including the Bible - are all downloaded as offline books.

To make matters worse, my Bible references are no longer showing up in full.

    e.g. John 10:27-30 shows John 10:27

    e.g. Rom 8:31-39 shows Rom 8:31

May I know which version of the iOS app you're using, Graham?

For some reason I was using an older version - 6.1.0.0381. Sorry, I should have checked.

But both on that version, and the same version you have, I see the full references on popup and get a fast response.

Can you let me know a resource / reference you are trying so I can try the same?

No worries. That's very strange though.

Every resource I've tried seems to have the same problem. E.g.:

    • Biblical Doctrine: A Systematic Summary of Bible Truth
    • English Standard Version

The references pop up after a lag. If I dismiss it and then call up that same reference, there is no lag (which was how it used to be a couple of versions ago).

If no one else is having this problem, I'll consider deleting and reinstalling the app :/

Sounds like worth trying - or maybe downloading one of the other mobile apps and seeing if the same thing happens there. That would at least avoid disrupting the app you are currently using.

Good call - thanks for your input, Graham.

Downloaded the Faithlife Mobile app and found it to be very responsive. Deleted and reinstalled Logos and it's all good now!

(The Faithlife app is marginally, but noticeably, faster than the Logos app.)
