Lexicons no longer working...

It is no longer working to type a headword into a lexicon (BDAG, DCH etc) on the ios. Using an iphone 8 with the latest updates. It still seems to be working on my ipad, but I tend to use the phone more for this sort of thing. It is vital to my workflow—is there a workaround?

Make sure the resources are downloaded for offline use. This feature works only on downloaded resources.

Bible Word Study not working on Android - Samsung Galaxy 8+.

The "Info" selection on a word brings up an option for "Bible Word Study" when then only brings up English dictionaries.  Also, opening up Bible Word Study on its own and typing in a word in Greek at the top search box brings up nothing -even thought the resources are all downloaded to the phone.

This is the expected behavior if 1) you are offline OR 2) you are using a resource without a reverse interlinear. Do either of those apply?

I get a study on the English word in the ESV or LEB rather than a study on the original language lemma that is shown in the Info box. Is this what you are reporting?

Also, opening up Bible Word Study on its own and typing in a word in Greek at the top search box brings up nothing

If I type g:word e.g. g:gno, it brings up a list of Greek lemmas and a BWS on the selected lemma.  If I then truncate the lemma in the Search box, I still get suggested lemmas. Does this work for you?

Hi, neither of those apply. I'm using a downloaded NKJV to my Galaxy S8+ phone. I even downloaded all of my interlinear resources and even the lexicons to see if that would help. I'm using my home WiFi which is fiber speed. On my desktop this works perfectly, it also seems to work on my iPhone 6S+ that I use for work. On the iPhone it is called "Lookup" - the word selected in the NT in English automatically comes up as Greek in the "Bible Word Study" selection and returns all kinds of info from Greek lexicons . On my Galaxy S8+ it comes up as English only. I'm wondering if there's a setting or something that I'm missing. This always worked before. I'm using version  6.1.2 (build 601024621). Thanks

For clarification: the "lookup" feature on the mobile apps (is it called something different on Android?) is an ONLINE ONLY feature currently. It does not matter if you download resources or not. Also for clarification: the "lookup" feature (as you have described) utilizes REVERSE INTERLINEAR info, which isn't a "resource" you can download. If you have downloaded "interlinear" bibles, those are completely different resources, and fully unrelated to your current issue.

I should also note: FL has said that offline "lookup" capabilities are coming to iOS in the near future (with Android coming at an undetermined later date).

    • You must be online
    • You must have access to the NKJV Reverse Interlinear. That would be acquired either through a "full feature set" purchase OR a "Logos Connect" (formerly Logos Now) membership/subscription.

If those two things are true, it <should> work. If not, I would try killing the app and/or deleting and reinstalling to see if that fixes it.

Glad to help. [:)] By the way, since you were on beta, you should have posted in the beta forum
