- I start with 3 panes - two Bibles and 1 note file
- The note file has no entries that are links by reference or selection to either Bible
- I add a note by reference to the 1st Bible: the yellow square and yellow background appear and the note file appears (checked) in the visual filter drop down box.
- In the 2nd Bible no indication of the note appears and the relevant note file does not appear in the visual filter drop down box.
What is the necessary action to make the note file appear in the 2nd Bible? I would expect a "refresh" style function but I've not discovered what L4 expects. Thanks.

As mentioned in this post, http://community.logos.com/forums/t/12178.aspx, whether or not the note is added to the 2nd Bible depends on whether you first selected text and right-clicked in that selection, then added note, or whether you right-clicked on the reference and added note without selecting text. Since your screenshot in the other thread shows part of the verse next to the reference link in the note title, it appears that you are selecting that text first, then adding the note.
For example, as it works currently, if I open Jn 1:1 in the NASB95 and the ESV, and in the NASB95 I select "In the beginning was the Word," then right-click in the selected or highlighted text, choose Reference, and Add a note to..., the note is only added to the NASB95. This is not expected behavior and a fix is coming.
Currently, if I do not select text first, just right-click on the word "In" or on the "1" at the beginning of verse, for instance, then choose Reference and add note, the note will be added to the NASB95 and the ESV, and Bibles not currently open. Once the note has been added to the 2nd Bible, that note's visual filter will be available on the 2nd Bible's Visual Filter drop-down.

I cannot reproduce this issue following the steps provided. Are you sure you're adding the note to a reference and not specific text in the 1st Bible?
Here's how you can tell:
In the above screenshot, note 1 (red) is attached to the reference and shows up in both Bibles. The note icon shows up, but the text is not highlighted in either resource. Also, in the note file, there is no text from the resource; just the reference appears.
Note 2 (blue) is attached to specific text in the ESV. The text is highlighted in the ESV next to the note icon, and the text is also displayed in the note file.
Since note 2 specifically applies to text in the ESV, if note 2 were the only note in the "Untitled Notes (2)" file, the note file would not appear in the NASB's visual filter list.
Does that help?

This has been fixed to work as you expect in Beta 12.

Thanks. I was still running beta 11 which I thought I'd updated.
