Bible Word Study does not accept English words as input

system: MacBook, macOs 10.13.3

Logos : 7.13.0.0017

As I remembered that Bible Word Study could accept English words as input, but recently, it does not work. I can only do English word study from context menu->Bible Word Study in a English bible.

As you can see below it is working for me. I am using Windows so unless this is a Mac-specific issue something strange is going on

Suggest entering English word, then wait for menu to appear so can choose desired word:

One programing fix might be to service the interrupt generated when the return key or execute button is pressed to kill the 'populate' function [if it is still running].

As you can see, I wish to see "rejoice" in the popup list but it only shows Latin words. My logos can take Greek, Hebrew, or even Chinese, but not English. Strange.

Is it something about setting issues?

You'll notice that ALL the suggestions in your screenshot are Lemma's (which are understandably given preference). Try adding the "j" yet...

unfortunately, this is only what I got.

It's not the first time I use logos. I used it from logos 5. So I think something goes wrong.

I agree that something is wrong... You mentioned Chinese so I thought it's possible that a UI language setting is interfering so I tested with German and then (scarily, lest I couldn't find the menu to change back to English) with Chinese!

If you type only "re" and then scroll down, does your list end at "reficiō"? Or are there ANY non-lemma forms? If no surface text options appear, that should give some tech an idea about where to look for the problem.

These are the words shown in the list when I type "re". End at "reconciliātiō".

Using Logos 7.14 Beta 4 on macOS 10.13.3 replicated Latin lemmas in search assistant suggestions appearing before English words (with interface language set to English)

My language setting is English, but I have some Chinese resources.

And I try to update to 7.14(Beta), the problem still exists. No English suggestions in BWS.

Curious about Bible Word Study default Bibles ?

Likewise curious about Library prioritization of resources with Bible Indexing, especially English Bibles with reverse interlinear. Diagnostic log shows AV1873 Old Testament reverse interlinear being searched for English word suggestions (since search takes longer than 250 ms).

Please post log files. It sounds to me like you have a broken autocomplete database. Deleting that database and restarting the application should allow it to be rebuilt. Log files will help us identify the location of the file to delete.

As you are on Windows, please start a new thread with logs (supplied logs are out of date). A screenshot would help to illustrate what you are doing, else describe the word(s) you used.
