Can Homepage be edited or scrolled?

I am wondering if the Homepage can be (slightly) edited by closing some of its "elements."  Let's say I don't want to get rid of the Homepage, but only one or two of the "articles" that appear on it. Can I do that?

Let me give an explanation that I hope won't go off on a tangent.  Being a Reformed Presbyterian who believes that the 2nd Commandment forbids images of Christ, I'd like to close the rather large stonecut image of Christ in the middle of my Homepage.  I don't want to have to restart the whole program, just close that one item.

A second item:

I noticed today that my Homepage has "1 of 3" in the bottom right corner.  That gives me three screens to look at.  I'd like to suggest that this be "scrollable" with a mouse wheel somehow, so I can easily flip through it.  I have confirmed that you can switch between the pages with the right and left-arrow keys.  Just a thought.

Hitting F5 should refresh the page with a different choice of graphics. (The same refresh key as most web browsers.)

    Bob,

That works, but does more than I want it to do.  Isn't there a way (and if not, perhaps there should be) to just close/change individual items on the Homepage?

I second this.  In fact I'd rather not have pages, but one long page.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

You mean like having it in collapsible sections, or possibly the choice of collapsing segments of the homepage?

The homepage currently can be scrolled, if it's not scrolling for you then that's a bug

Sort of.  What I would like is something like an "X" for each item, or maybe a right click on the item to close it.  That way, if I want to close the "Twittering Pastor" item, but NOT lose the other items there (by doing F5) I can do that.  Also, if I want to close the huge picture of Jesus but not lose the rest, I can do that.
