Copying and Pasting reformatting Word documents

It is a pain not being able to use copying and pasting the right way. My text looks like this:
However, as soon as I paste what I copied straight out of my Logos book, it looks like this:
In other words, every time I copy or paste something, Logos reformats my Word document to only-God-knows-what kind of formatting that is. It messes up everything.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is there any way to change the settings so that this is always the case?

What Dave is suggesting is changing the default. If you only want to do it once you can right click and choose the appropriate option. If you want to change the default you go to

Curious about Word for Mac version ? (Word => About)
Appears Word is configured to be your Mail editor (your screen shot shows New Message for email)

I am interested in an answer for those that are using MacBooks and do not appear to have the ability to maintain format pasting functions from logos to Word 365. I am a college student and the continual formatting changes are very painful. Thanks for the help.
