As I read in the app I have tried to create new titles for my notes. When I save them I find out the app has not recorded my note title and named them the default Untitled Notes.”

This is troubling. Even when I attempt to edit the name of the note and save it, the title remains “Untitled Notes {x}.”

i love over the concept of Logos. I used to have less trouble with notes. I was able to make new note categories and my work was organized but this very basic feature is tedious and doesn’t work.

I have much much invested in this product and the quality seems to be slipping. I am not pleased with the extra work that Is distracting me from focusing on study and preparation.

Is is anyone else having this problem?

Hi Tim - and welcome to the forums.

I’ve just tried this on my iPad

When I create the new notes document it is called ”Untitled ...” but using the Edit Document option allows me to change it

Is this what you you are doing?

If you highlight a portion of text and select ”note” it brings up a window for the note. Options to select include, Private note or community note. Towards the bottom you may select the highlight type and another option for the document you desire it to be added to. If you select the document it opens another window box.  You can search or scroll the documents you already have or select the “+” to add a new document. tap the plus and you are given the new note is titled “new document title” rename the document to the desired title and hit save. When I search for the new titled document I discover a new “untitled document.“ shen I try to edit the new document title from there it continues to remain “untitled” when I search for it again

I've had this happen numerous times. It's extremely frustrating.

The best I can tell, it's related to when the device isn't connected to the internet. There are several aspects of the current mobile notes implementation (at least on iOS) that are fragile when the device isn't online. This is one of them. Another is that highlights I successfully add are not visible on the device even though, once it goes online, the highlights are visible on the desktop.

I don't complain more because of the overhauled notes implementation that's effectively in beta in the web app.

Thanks for the detailed reproduction steps - but when I follow them I am able to successfully create a new notes document with the name I choose.

Donnie suggests this issue may be due to being offline - is the app online or offline when you are trying this?

    I was connected online.

The first time time I noticed this was when I was in the Dominican Republic working on notes and preparing material while disconnected from internet sources. My iPad is a new ipad pro  I’m not sure if that information is needed.

im glad it’s working for you. I consider myself pretty resilient  I’m not above mistakes but I don’t think it’s an error I’m making  it’s nit working for me and it is distracting from the focus of preparation

IVe restarted my iPad etc.  it continues to happen.

Sorry - I wasn't suggesting you were making a mistake or that it's not a problem. I was just trying to narrow things down.

And when trying it again I am finding the Logos app is crashing when trying to create a note!

I am running the beta version 6.4.0102 - what version of the app do you have?
